I guess some would say I am a Veteran Cosmic Rocker, and one who still believes in the power of music.

I also am the mother of Tommy Kelly 1981-1999, and executive director of the 501(c) non profit Tommy Foundation, which address the issue of missing children and child safety. www.tommyfoundation.org

The Tommy Foundation believes in Activism through Music. An acoustic Martin guitar, signed by Eric Burdon, sold for $5000. The proceeds were used to purchase the technology for the digital photo/fingerprint Tommy Foundation’s Child Safety Identification program. The Tommy Foundation also has been honored to have a guitar signed by the Moody Blues, Crosby Stills Nash, Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper original band members Neal Smith and Dennis Dunway, Taj Mahal, and Commander Cody, which was auctioned for the issue of missing children.

The Tommy Foundation has begun new guitars and memorabilia that have already been signed by Elvin Bishop, Lydia Pense of Cold Blood, and Huey Lewis and the News, B52's, Mike Love and Bruce Johnson - Beach Boys, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo, Anne & Nancy Wilson-Heart, Grand Funk Railroad, the Whalers, FogHat, America, Barry McGuire, Insane Clown Posse, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, social activist Angela Davis, Earth Wind and Fire, Leon Russell. Ramblin Jack Elliot, Arlo Guthrie, Donovan, Bo Diddley, Roger McGuinn- Byrds, John Mayall, Dave Mason-Traffic, Mickey Hart-Grateful Dead. Poco, Meatloaf, Kenny Loggins, Jewel, Joe Cocker, Don McClean and Senator John Kerry-Electra. Our auction with many of these items will be auctioned in Oct.

The Tommy Foundation has created a public service announcement that airs missing children pictures from around the country. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 1-800-THE -LOST, have offered their support by including their toll free hotline in the PSA for people to call with information regarding the missing children represented in the PSA.

Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues donated the chorus of his song “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere" as the background music for the public service announcement

Activism Through music still works! And our dream is to have music be a voice for our missing children.

And I am delighted to announce a benefit concert Nov. 9th, Jackson Co. Expo, Central Point (Medford) Oregon with the Moody Blues. Information at our website
Also participating will be the Southern Oregon University Native American Student Union drummers and dancer. Agnes Pilgrim. Elder of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz, will offer a blessing for our children’s safety and for all missing children.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Tommy Foundation, the Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children - Friendswood Tx, and the Southern Oregon University Konaway Nika Tillicum summer school program for Native American children.

I am so glad to have been given a "heads up" about this web site. I apologize for my long post, but it did say "tell us about yourself"

    Always in Hope
    Vicki
