In a previous post I said that I was 5'7 and around 110 lbs...I got people telling me that I was too skinny...

I don't really know a lot about height/weight ratios, but I do see a personal trainer every week....

Opinions? Am I too skinny? Also, wouldn't my personal trainer say something if I was?

I am 5'9'' and I weigh 105 and I am so damn tired of people telling me that I am too skinny. Maybe I am, but there is nothing I can do about it, it's not like I'm starving.

So as long as you feel healthy, then don't worry about what other people say about your weight.

lol I don't know how healthy I am but I am definately not starving. I eat a lot and people always think I'm bulimic...
I never really much cared though...I was just curious as to what others thought...

People are born with low bone weight, it's genetic.

simply consuming calcium, in any form, will not automaticly add bone mass
or streingth. the body needs protean to metabolize the calcium.

protean does not of course have to come from meat.
if you get all three of the different kinds of protean

meat has all three but you can get them from vegetable sources too
you just need different sources of vegetable protiean to make sure
    to get all three.

but jumping arround in the shower to gain wieght?
their's got to be some kind of word play or something in that
or something wierd, that i must be too slow, or maybe i've been sitting
in the house to long or something
but i'm afraid i don't quite get it, the connection,
jumping arround in the shower to gain weight?

    =^^=

    r i g h t . . .
I eat all the food groups in a day...I eat the recommended amount...I do eat junk food but I don't drink much soda...so I should be getting enough calcium. If I'm not I will blame Blake(my personal trainer) because he's the one that approved my diet.

You probably have a small frame. I am 5'8" with a large frame. At my thinnest I was 130, and looking back, I was boney..... I am now 145, and could stand to lose 5-10 lbs, but I think I look pretty good.

I am in school for my certification as a personal trainer, so I had to respond to this. There really is no such thing as the "right" or "normal" weight for your height. As far as the scale goes, it is not measuring your bone or muscle structure. You could weigh 130-140 and still look very skinny. If you are eating "correctly", your weight may just be what your body needs. It's different for everyone. Being "too skinny" can be recognized by other factors as well. (Hair growth, weakness, feeling cold all the time, etc..) Aside from your personal trainer, do you see a regular doctor. S/he maybe able to give you some tests for thyroid conditions and things like that, but I really encourage my clients to not go by the scale. It doesn't really provide the best accuracy. The charts on the dr's walls mean absolutely nothing unless you are showing symptoms of an eating disorder or another problem within. I am 5'4 and weigh 99 lbs. People may say that is way too skinny, but there is not much more I can do about it. I eat more than anyone could imagine :p . Try to go by the way you are feeling. If you do want to gain more weight, there are healthy ways to do so. But, if you are concerned I would recommend getting a blood test on your thyroid to make sure your metabolism is working at a so-called "normal" rate. Once again, try not to go by the scale. It doesn't put into account the structure of your body. If you want to know anything else, please feel free to email me drseussplayland@aol.com
    Peace, and stay healthy..Tristen :)

To me you aren't too skinny... you're thin yes but not too much.

People tell me I'm too skinny too... but I don't really think so. I'm 1m68 and 49 kilos, which is, I guess, 5'7 and 98 lbs.
