You should put rubbing alchohol on it and make sure to clean gunk off of it and stuff. Whatever you do, keep it clean. Rubbing alchohol will sting, but it can work wonders. If it stays funky, I'd take it out and let it heal. Good luck.

Yeah - salt water, or cleaners that contain Benzalkonium Chloride. And i'd leave it in too. It'll help let fluid drain from it - until you can see a doctor or your professional piercer about the infection.

Please don't listen to fuck face rubbing alcohol will dry it up and make it hurt even more. Sea-salt soke or anti-bacterial soap will work best, both if you got time. (not right after eachother of course :p )

    P.s

If you take your piercing out while it is infected it, you will trap the infection in there with no way for it to escape. Which could end up in an abces(can't spell) which you would have to get sugically removed... just take care of it, hands off unless your cleaning it.

For ear piercings yes, even you little nose stub maybe but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Rubbing alcohol overcleans and dries shit out. Sorry to kill a dead horse.. but I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

Gargle with salt water. Do a saline soak on the outside. Keep the bitch clean, and don't touch it.

i would have to agree with the majority that salt water is the best thing, but dont just rub it on, let it soak in for at least a couple of minutes.

For the outside of the piercing i would recomend putting extremely hot salty wwater into a shot glass, (litterally as hot as you can stand without burnung yourself) and then tip your head so the piercing is in the top of the glass, then tip it back the other way and sit with your head on one side for at least two minutes.

for the inside, just take a big mouthful, sit with it in their and then spit!

i tried this when i had my wisdom teeth removed and i could actually taste the difference before and after as the salt literally sucked the infection out of my face.

i then used antibactierial mouth wash after that. i dont know if it made a difference to the infection, but it didnt do any harm and took away the nasty salt taste.!

    good luck with it anyway!

    peace and love
