damn those patriotic bastards...lol. my dog is hiding. i guess she thinks it is thundering.

besides, why are they doing fireworks tonight? i thought they always did them on the 4th, regardless of what day of the week it was.

I let my dog outside to use the bathroom and had to spend 20 minutes calling her back to the house because she was barking and the fireworks and running in their general direction. It's a good thing they were going off on all sides of my house or she would've ran a few miles off. She was going full speed in a circle for a good 15 minutes... Crazy thing.

My dog is deathly afraid of fireworks (and thunder), though she doesn't react as badly as she used to.

when 2000 turned the city launched a shitload of fireworks near my home. all the morons had been out all night, spazzing over Y2k, and the jesus people were our pushing pamphlets & waiting for the rapture. suresh & i were so disgusted we decided to do nothing for new year's. wish we'd left town, when those fireworks went off there were so many of them & they were so loud & so near the building shook. my son was still a baby, maybe a little older than shakti is now. the poor little guy was so terrified! he was hysterical, he screamed and cried and was so scared he vomited. i was so pissed off at the city for that! geez, why'd they launch them so near where people were living? it must have been worse for the people in the apartments over by the park.

my dog usually dosent notice fireworks on the fourth because hes siffing around for food scraps from the party. and if i set off firecrackers too close to him he backs up a little and looks kinda freaked out.

    My poor dog...

Every time someone lights a fire-cracker she freaks out and runs and hides in the closet.

She also really hates it when the smoke alarm battery gets low and it starts beeping like once a minute. But then again, I hate that, too!
