I'm really into tarot cards but I'm not an expert at all. I was wondering (as juvenille as it probably sounds) does anyone know about a certain spread or soemthing about love lives?

Don't worry about spreads too much - all that any book will say is simply a framework you can experiment with.

You could just try a simple three card spread - past, present, future.

It really doesn't matter as long as it works for you.

if you want some more clearcut answers you can do a pretty basic fifteen card spread suggested in the literature that comes with the thoth deck, which is all i know and seems to come highly recommended by "those that know" about the tarot....i've been becoming more and more interested in this stuff lately.

anyway, heres the order of the spread
    13-9-5____4-8-12
    _____2-1-3_____
    14-10-6__7-11-15

the first three, in the middle, represent the querent and/or the nature of the present situation/question. the upper sets represent possible outcomes, i believe that 4-8-12 is supposed to be the natural inclination without outside interference. if they compliment each other, i think that 13-9-5 is supposed to generally be sort of additional details to the most likely outcome. 14-10-6 are supposed to reflect the querent's mental state and/or help you choose the right path to take, and 7-11-15 are outside influences to take into consideration beyond your control (karma, etc.). i believe the middle card of each set is supposed to be the most important, and if it falls between two opposing cards then it isn't very affected by either. at least, this is how i understand the spread. it takes a lot more time to interpret this spread than it would with a simple three card layout.

i don't know how much stock to put into this, but i'm trying to get more familiar with it so i can judge for myself. at very least even if it isn't an effective divinatory tool its something that can make you look at a situation in a way you haven't seen before and maybe more clearly understand what you need to do. however for what its worth (which isn't much given my extremely limited understanding of such matters) i've tried to find out what america has in store for it over the next few years...and its consistantly not very pretty....
