Love it - got two right out of all of them - including the bonus question - I love to start my day feeling dumb. Thanks a bunch (grin). That was a good test hope you don't mind if I steal it and email it to my kids so they can feel dumb too.

the maths one you take 1000 first then add the rest

i get it now

4090 + 10 = 100

you'd automatically assume it'd go up to 5000 in your head (well in my head)

 

got the race ones wrong but the others right. when i add i clump it like all the 1000s first is 4000 the rest makes 100 so 4100 so makes sense to me.

i tripped out over the math problem, but i see now. i got most of them right.

 

the adding one was easy because i still do the longhand version and carry the one. sheesh. it's completely impossible for me to add in my head. even simple numbers. crazy, eh?

I got them all wrong, I was only able to comprehend the math on and thought sure I had that one right, anyway, it was pretty cool.

 

i got them all right

though, for overtaking the last person in the race, i am assuming that the track is circular, in which case ANY position could overtake the person in last by lapping them.

 

stuffed up the race questions, got the 5 daughters question and the math problem was simple, i read the bonus question but didnt bother to answer... guess i am semi-dimented

 

i only got the math one correct....even though i'm terrible in math, well at least at the college level i am.
