I like her stuff from the 90's. "Head Over Feet" is a great song, I think her best. The 1995 album she released is a great album.
Water baby-- don't take this the wrong way-- but you're not from a country where English is the primary language, right? Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just something I'm curious about.
Jagged Little Pill was a pretty good album.. I don't really care much for anything after that. I agree. Head Over Feet is a really good song.
Alanis Morrissette is an annoying horse faced c-word. Yeah, her and I are the same age or within a year. I spent much of the 80s in the same talent shows as her, I was in the arts and performing communities so we were in the same circles. Ottawa, Canada. Look it up in her bio. "Daddy's gonna make me a big star. Daddy has all these connections. Daddy's gonna buy me a studio. I'm on TV you know" aw shut the hell up. She'd show up for the opening of an envelope if there was an opportunity to sing the anthem or otherwise get exposure. First she was a jazz torch singer, then a country singer, then a Debbie Gibson teen mall queen (won two Junos for that if I remember). Finally after that went nowhere and she parked herself at the CBC she moved to Hell A, met up with Madonna who restyled her as this alternative chick or whatever. Like this silver spoon in her mouth spoilt brat whose part time job was earning thousands of dollars on "You Can't Do That On Television" would know anything about being "underpaid". Find her REAL debut album, especially the single "Too Hot to Hold" and watch her chubby ass gyrate to the Tiffany beat. HAR HAR HAR She was screwing adults at 12 and screwing every stepping stone over on the way to the top. Ask the members of eight "I'll kiss you when it's dangerous" seconds about her. She's ugly to look at and her professional victim crap she's spewing now makes me sick. She showed up in Canada to the Juno awards basically saying she abandoned the US for Canada again over Bush, when the real story is she hasn't sold a record since "Jagged Little Pill". One hit wonder. Go home to LA already. And stay there.
man, i cannot stand alanis moresette. its equivalent to the sound of somebody scartching their nails on a chalkboard.
Yeah, well I've also had personal dealings with Tom Green and Matt Perry. The latter was an OK guy but I can see why people find the former a headache.
It just seems like your writing is unusually simple and you seem to make posts about artists (example, Chicago) that no one thinks one way or another about.. I seriously thought you were from some esoteric part of Eastern Europe or some other place where you were just getting Alanis Morrisette and ELP records shipped in as bootlegs.
I don't really like Alanis Morrisette that much either but I really like her album "Jagged Little Pill" and especially the song "Head Over Feet".
I heard she did the nasty with that goofy guy on "Full House" (the one that "tried" to be goofy) and thats what the song "You Oughta Know" is about.Yuck!
I like Jagged Little Pill, You Outta Know is still a great song to listen to, the records she put out after that just didnt appeal to me.
The hell? Jagged Little Pill is THE most MANUFACTURED, FAKE, BULLSHIT album ever. I practically PUKED when I saw the video of her dressed as a Seattle area hesher in some beat up panel van whining about being underpaid. As a pre-teen she was earning thousands for showing up to a studio to do "You Can't Do That On Television." She made thousands off her debut album, "Alanis". Daddy had enough money to choke a mastodon and she was a regular on the CBC whenever she looked like she was gonna have to sell off some investments to make the rent. Imagine Debbie Gibson trying to come back as Courtney Love. Yeah. And you Yanks bought it.
