It's horrible! I want to start saving for a van, but i can't stop buying clothes. Like it's seriously becoming a problem. I have no hangers left, my closet and dresser are PACKED so tight i can barely get things in and out, and i even had to put all my winter clothes in a trunk in my back room. What's more sad, is i have like at least 15 things i've either never worn, or only worn once or twice, but i refuse to give them up. Is anyone else like this? I constantly want more. lol...i just love clothes so much. help!
I have a lot of clothes. But that's just because my mom's a dick and won't let me donate them to charity. I'd be quite content with two pairs of pants, two pairs of shorts, and like four shirts and a hoodie. No. We have to be conservaitve pricks and keep everything. I'm sure the starving children in downtown Baltimore won't mind. :eye roll:
I don't have enough clothes! Send them to me !!! I just can't afford to go out and buy the things I want.... maybe someday though!
Yeah i dont have enough clothes either. And since i try to make all my clothes it takes me much longer to build up a collection for myself. Much faster to go and buy but i just dont like owning clothes that are all made in china and that everyone else has. I wish i had the money to get more clothes, or more fabric.
it's my damn 50% off at value village! It makes me buy EVERYTHING lol. Like, not only does the village have great deals, but 50% off great deals is almost foolish to refuse!
I wish I could be like that, but finding clothes that fit me properly is nearly impossible. I literally only have 2 pairs of jeans that I ever wear, with only one of them fitting well. I decided earlier today that I was going to make wearing only one pair of pants every day a fashion statement. We'll see how that goes... The thing right now too is, I'm losing weight so I'm in between sizes and I don't want to spend money wearing clothes that will be too big within a month.
AHah. I'm a slave to the Value Village too. I cleaned my entire room one night when I was feeling good about it, and hucked everything in a ton of garbage bags and donated it to the Salvation Army.. However.. I wouldn't protest if you decided to send some to YellowBelly and myself.
lol lucyinthesky im soooo the same lol and i just cant let them go even tho i dont wear em either lol
i'm the same way, but only if its on sale. if i find a good bargain, i have to buy it...its a horrible disease that i have...which leads to tons of clothes that i never wear. each time i move, which have been 3 times in the past three years, i clean out my closet and end up giving away like 5 bags of clothes to goodwill or whatever...so that helps me out, but i still end up keeping clothes i never wear... this really has nothing to do with clothes, but you said value village and there's a band in richmond who sings a song called "f the shortbus" (theyre politically incorrect in every way, theyre called special ed and the shortbus bluegrass band, but hilarious) anyway, the first line goes well, i shop at value village for my clothing second hand and i eat out of a dumpster cause i'm playing with this band random, i apologize...
my problem is i save up to get clothes from cool sites, or (my biggest problem) the cheapies i score on ebay, the lovely home-made clothes and whatnot- that i get and dont fit... it sucks. so i have all the clothes i just rarely wear yet im hesitant parting with them, the 'normal' clothes i have for special occasions, and the clothes that dont fit me gotta do something with them... ebay and salvation army - here i come...
Lucy, you can never have too much clothes...unless they're on...lol im such a perv...sorry Im sexually deprived just ignore me dammit
I know what you mean, I use to wear like 12 and now Im going down to 9 and still loosing. Most my clothes are kinda big on me. But i do still have clothes that my grandmother bought me when she was alive. I dont wanna give them up because she bought it for me, they have some meaning to me. I think the clothes you dont wear, why dont you put them in a box. And save them for your kids someday, of when your ready to give them up or sell them. Hope we helped. holla.
im need to go to shoppers anonymous when it comes to buying clothes. i have boxes in the garage, and i have boxes in storage building. and i cant stop buying more. i love clothes! you can never have too many clothes, i think. clothes are fun! one of my favorite things to do is go to the thrift stores with a few bucks and come out with bags full of great vintage stuff. we dont have a Value Village though . we had a great place that i would even go on my lunch breaks and buy clothes, but they closed that down 5 years ago, and im still recovering..... we need better thrift stores, but the 50/50 half and half store is great!
dont worry, i do the same thing...but lately i have been cleaning out the things i never wear and give them to friends or goodwill. sometimes i just cut them up and make them into something else.
haha i love clothes too, like LOVE clothes, but if i were u id do like ebay if u wanted money or goodwill or salavation armey if ur in a kind mood, thats the way to go teehee
