What's everyon'es favourite medium? I like em' all, I have no particular favourite. Except maybe simple pencil on paper?
I like drawing pencils, exspecially the real thick chalky type ones. Also, oil pastels and acrylic paint.
My favorite to work with would have to be Prisma Colors. Here is a piece I did for my Ap art studio class. It is larger than it looks, it is about 2x2 ft. Just a random one I picked out of the bunch.
Wow that is so nice, the colors just grab ya... And who is the fellow in the pancake beret???? a fellow arteest???
i love photography, but its only art if you do it right...kinda like how shopping lists can never be considered great works of literature but who are we to say what is right and what is not....*shrug*
whatever i try i always end up going back to pencil and paper. sometimes the basics is what works best. it feels nice going back to your roots after finishing a huge painting. my neck hurt for days after that venture...
My favorite things to use are oil and soft pastels, sometimes in combination with guache paint and arcylic & drawing onto pretty big masonite boards (compressed cardboard, it's a really thin kind of paneling that is fuzzy on one side, smooth on the other). Cheers, mkc
I like using photography. I like capturing the emotion of the subject. I have other mediums that I like. Paper and pencil is one. I have done etching and quite like that. I have really bad handwritting however I love doing calligraphy. I would like to try doing stuff with wood. Matt
Pencil and paper was my first medium (been drawing since... I dunno, the age of four), and it's still my favorite, either graphite or charcoal. I'm also getting into painting, which I enjoy, but drawing still is the most fun and the one that comes most naturally to me.
Oil paints was always my fav before. But this past semester I had a computer illustration class and though it was difficult for me at first, I ended up LOVING the class and I adore digital work now. Haven't done much with it, but I've had kind of a busy summer since I've been out....can't wait to dig into it again though. Photoshop and Corel Painter are friggin awesome.
I love to work with oil pastels.. When I paint, I always choose acrylic. I think I am, in a "weird way", afraid to deviate to a different paint medium. I will challenge myself one day.. It's all about expression, and I think the deep sense of the acrylics really portray my stories.Photography is something i really want to get back into. That was wonderful for me.
Digital art is so much fun. Painters Classic is in excellent program.. You may want to check it out..
I prefer acrylic paint on canvas, or whatever is lying around. I also enjoy photography and digital art. For its simplicity while traveling, I like pencil and paper.
