you know in kansas, you can marry at a very young age with parental consent??

12 for a female

and

14 for a male........

are there any other states like that???

there was a case recently where this guy from nebraska (he was 20 at the time) was dating a 13 year old..... he got parental consent and got married in kansas. he got her pregnant at age 14, and they are trying him for statuatory rape...... but he is fighting it saying that he married her, and has every right to have sex with his wife......

with parental consent, or without?? without parental consent in kansas is 18 for both sexes, but of course if you do have parental consent, you can get married to a 12 year old.

 

In Va. when a girl becomes pregnant she is considered an adult and doesn't need consent. Otherwise, it's 16 with and 18 without. Personally I think we should all have to wait until 35. And only then if you've lived together. Call me old fashioned...

I think it should be 18. I would have gotten married at 17 to an older man if I didn't need my moms' permission and am soo so sooooooooo glad I didn't because god I have changed so much and was never in love with the guy now that I think about it

I Heard On The Radio Today That In Kansas A 22 Yr Old Guy Married A 14 Yr Old Girl He Got Pregnant (with Her Parent's Consent) And I Guess Several People Complained (i'm Not Sure To Whom Exactly) And Now He Is Facing 50 Yrs In Jail For Molestation Of A Minor Or Something Like That (cant Remember The Exact Charges) Anyway, I Guess He Always Liked Them Young Cause He Was With A 12 Yr Old When He Was 20.

I've Always Been One To Say Age Is Just A Number, And Age Differences Are Usually Okay, But What The Hell Would He Have In Common With A Girl Barely Entering Puberty???
