I REALLY want to be a...

I wish I was a hobo!!! I'm not a 'building nest' sort of person,so to speak. I'd love to wander from place to place,sleeping in the grass with no material posessions but a guitar and the clothing on my back(unless nudity suddenly became legal). It would make me very happy. I'd be extremely high on life all the time if I were a hobo. Every time I travel I try to avoid hotels and I sleep in parks. I even slept in a London subway once. It was great.

 

it's nice...just to walk...and nothing else...home is in your mind...*sigh*...

 

it sounds nice in theory, but i bet it would be hell after awhile.

 

um, ae you being serious? first of all, you can be a bum, just get the things yoiu like and piss off from home, go on.
secondly, you dont want to be a hobo. anyone who says they want to be a hobo and isnt willing to just go and do it right now clearly doesnt know much or isnt subjected to real hobos very often, or heard their stories of life.
unless of course you work with hobos in your spare time and the only thing stopping you from being one is that your a girl who goes to school?

I don't work with hobos,no. You are right about that. However,I don't go to school,and the only thing that's stopping me is my inability to go out of state. I'd love to be a bum...However, right now I'm in the southern part of America,so baking all day in the heat isn't an option. Someday when I'm living somehwere with a NICE climate(40-60 something degrees during the day,much like the U.K),hopefully I'd get a chance to bum around for awhile and really truly think about life. I would really enjoy it.

being a nomad is completely differnet to being a hobo or a bum. a nomad is merely someone who doesnt have a house or property or whatnot; a hobo/bum is someone who doesnt have a home of their own. of course home can be anything but theres a difference between having a home and having a home of your own.

 

i know it is great.

 

it will be nice until another hobo kicks you in the gut and pawns your guitar. And you wont be getting another guitar unless you do the same thing.

 

Lol true u would probly get robbed if u were a bum in like richmond my friend saw a homeless person rob another homeless person for 2 dollars yea it would be cool to just have no worries and just walk around all day well cept u would have to get food and water but still it would be cool if u had a home to go to when u were done

Is california hot/warm?? I can't stand the temperature over 70 degrees. It's just so uncomfortable for me. I get awful headahces,nausea,vertigo,etc even if I'm outside for 5 minutes when it's warm outside...I guess I'm still scarred from living in Ireland,huh? My aunt visited FL from living in Ireland her whole life,and she kept saying she felt like she was going to die.:&

 

Oh no, L.A. is the perfect temperature for bums. Which is why we have so many of them. If I see you here tho, I'm not giving you a quarter. But you're still welcome to come.

I used to tell people I wanted to play in the hobo baseball league. You use the stick for your bindle as a bat. It would be fun. Also, hobos are different from regular bums. Hobos are bums that jump into trains to get around. That would also be fun. Oh yes!

Aww why wouldn't you give me a quarter?? Damnit that's okay I don't want any money...I wouldn't need it for anything besides food! In that case,I'll be sure to have a hankercheif tied to a stick filled with cans of beans. True hobo style indeed.
