My Lowryders are 26 days old now. I've got one male and two females. This is a seed growing project but I would still like to get at least a little smoke. My problem is trimming the plants. I hate trimming. Is there a specific method for trimming? Where to cut, where not to cut. Also, is there any type of netting you can put over a female to keep pollen out and lets light in? I was wondering if a stocking streched over a small frame with an light adhesive sprayed on it would stop the pollen? Any thoughts on this? Billbeau
Move the male out of the grow room PRONTO! If you want seed & bud from the same plant try this. When the male & female are both mature take the female out the room to the male. Get a 1/2" paint brush or smaller & rub the brush on the male pollen sacks you will see tiny yellow/white balls. Paint this onto the lowest stem onto & around the bud of the female. keep her seperate from the other female for 5 days then then blow with a hairdryer on cold to remove some polen then hopefully most of your plant will grow sensi while the painted parts will grow seeded bud. The finale step in the prosses once the pollenation is complete (KILL THE MALE)
Not possible to move the male. All three are in the same container. I want one plant to completly seed. It is the other female I want to save. I was going to seed both of them but now I think I'll get enough from one. I could possibly take out the other female but it would have to go outside which is not a problem except it will change the light cycle drasticly. They are on 18/6 now. I can put it outside with the White Widow I guess, they are all 3 female. Maybe the sun will stretch it and open it up a bit. Thoughts?
another excellent reason to never plant more than one to a container. You don't have many options. It's either remove the male flowers, OR seed all the plants. You won't restrict the pollen to one plant in those conditions.
Yeah, I know. But I was originally going to seed both of them. So, this is what I'm doing. Since Lowryder is such a small plant I cut a 2 ltr. bottle about 5 inches up from the bottom. I cut out the bottom but left enough edge to keep it ridged. I cut the toe out of a pair of white stockings and stretched it over the bottom. The clear plastic and stocking let light and air in great. I sprayed the stocking with a light coat of hairspray to help stop pollen if it hits the stocking. I will use taller bottles as the plant grows and probably move to a 3 ltr.bottle soon. I have no idea if this is going to work. It should at least keep the seeding to a minimum I hope. Anyone ever try this?
See when you get 20.000 seeds & 1oz of mediocer bud use the new seeds to grow sensimellia your second crop might just get you high? Ps OLD DUDE dont come down Ill come up
man cant you just cut off all the male flowers? its a low rider, not exactly large. keep one set of flowers furthest away and keep it in a containment until they have pollen, then cut off the flower and carefully pollinate. conclusion: dont shield the female, shield the male.
It's great shit like this that keeps me poking through all these threads.Thank you, thank you, thank you...
