I was looking up alpha-methyltryptamine and I found a site that after it did a search of that chemical, it had the heading of 5-Methyltryptamine hydrochloride. Now comparing the chemical layout (the picture form) from this web site to Erowid's site, they look the same, but I'm not totally sure. Could someone verify this? On a slightly different note... that site is owned (or so it seems) by what i believe to be a reputable chemical distrobuter, but it looks like it might be hard to get the chemicals from them. Before I make any rash moves, i'd like someone elses opinion on this matter. Can someone who knows thier stuff (i.e. Ellis, or someone of the likes) acknowledge this post and I'll PM u of what the site is I'm talking about. Thanks!
5-Methyltryptamine would be 5-MT, not AMT. if it were 5-methoxy-alphamethyltryptamine or something like that it would be 5MeO-AMT...but what you typed in wouldnt fit for either AMT or 5MeO-AMT, so you're not likely to get either. i have never heard of 5-MT
btw, AMT is scheduled now, it was put on the emergency scheduling at the same time as 5MeO-DiPT (foxy methoxy) all thats left is 5MeO-AMT, and thats not supposed to be a good substance at all, really.
yeah, doing a search on 5-methyltryptamine on google shows up that it is a real chemical, but i can find NO reference to it being ingested or having significant useful psychoactive effects.
3-(2-Aminoethyl)-5-methylindole hydrochloride ; 5-Methyltryptamine hydrochloride ; 3-(2-methylaminoethyl)-5-methylindole hydrochloride; 2-(5-Methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)ethylamine; 5-Methyltryitryptamine hydrochloride Those are some of the other names it could be called. Im gonna look those up in a sec and check it out.
well one of the those u just mentioned was the one i saw on the site and so was 2-(5-Methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)ethylamine hydrochloride as well as 3-(2-Aminoethyl)-5-methylindole hydrochloride it says that they are synonyms of AMT Oh.. and whats DL in front of the chemical name? like ive seen DL-alpha-methyltryptamine... is that the same (it looks like the chemical makeup is different...)
