So as many of you know I have a deeply perverse fascination for serial killers and people with mental illnesses. Well yesterday I was reading up on one of my favorite murderers (who doesn't happen to be the serial type) and I found out where he is located (in jail of course).

I whipped out a letter and it's in the mail today. Exciting, exciting!

I've already been told by one forum member here that I've got issues. But come on, not every murderer is a bad person, and we should all know that. Sometimes circumstances just don't go our way.

    Peace

who is it and why and how did he kill his victim.

if he sliced a guy into 5000 fillets cuz he walked on his lawn, then hes nutz.\
if he shot a guy in the head once cuz he caught him boinking his wife, then hes not nuts.

I don't want to say who it is, and...

He killed a guy while doped up on heroin. That's all I'll say, otherwise you'll know who it is, haha. Oh what the hell... it was Michael Alig, one of the Clubkids of the 1980s club scene. I'm sure a few of you are familiar with him.

...he did chop up the victim, but only into a couple pieces, and also while doped up.

So, what exactly has you fascinated? And just out of curiosity, are you studying Psychology?

No I'm not studying psychology, I find the field useless.

I'm not sure what has me fascinated. I have been interested in murderers since I was probably 12 or 13. It probably relates to some kind of complex in which you have to know, or feel you know someone, who has experienced something you'll never get to experience (whether its a good or bad experience). I just think it's great how the mind works.

Besides, if you knew most of my close friends, you'd think they are probably on that path anyway, haha. I just find really bizzar people the most interesting.

If you are excited by the fantasy - fine and good - go with it - but be aware that people inside are very good at using people on the out side - you are not the first person who, forever reason, wrote to a killer. People on the inside trade a lot of information - some of that information is how best to get things out of free world folks. Be sure that you are the one that is in charge of the fantasy - not sure I would want to give out my home address either the con in the next cell may be getting out tomorrow.

First of all, this isn't some love fantacy or a wishful thought that someday I'll get to meet him, I'm not interested in that. I'm more probing than that... but of course you can't say much in the first letter because you don't want to piss them off.

I'm not writing to Gary Ridgeway here.

Besides, I'm smart enough to not let out any personal information. He will know my address and my last name, that's it.

Well come on, there are hundreds of people on this board who have access to a hell of a lot more information than that about me.

... I could be doing much more dangerous things.

And I love Snoop. It was a nice touch to see his voice of reason as I read your response.

thats all it takes..sorry, wouldnt give someone whom was convicted of murder my address..
I can understand you writing to them and being curious, but the whole giving him your address and last name or whatever, isnt very smart really...

your address if a very important piece of imformation that I would pass out people who are in prison..no offense or anything...

As opposed to contacting killers? Do you really want them to have you in mind? Your playing with fire...

Once again, I'm not contacting someone like Gary Ridgeway here... I think people are familiar with him. If not, he's a serial killer who killed, I don't know, more than 40 women maybe? I can't remember anymore. He doesn't feel sorry, has no emotion towards it, etc.

If you had a friend who accidently ran someone over with a car and killed them, would you still be their friend? I bet you would.

    Long story short:
Everyone was doped up, there was a drug deal gone bad, he killed his drug dealer. When he realized what he had done, he just kept himself doped so he didn't have to think about it. He and a friend put the body in a box and sent it down a river.

Before this he was one of the most famous club promoters of the 80s and early 90s. If you weren't at his parties, you were shit (not that I'm at all interested in the scene).

And pabsy, the comment about a couple pieces was sarcastic. And it isn't like he made the consious decision to kill this guy, so yes, it is like running someone over, in my mind.

And Shroom, no fit here. I'm calm.

I'm also fascinated with murderers, just because I don't know HOW someone could be like that...always wanted to pick a murderers brain...but that's what books are for. I love the book "The Last Victim"...ever read it?

I'd get a PO Box if I was going to write to any of them though. I wouldn't take any chances.
