So who did you see? How much did they rock? The football on Thursday was really good to watch I thought, not keen on big crowds I was worried how many bigger bands I'd actually get to see. But there was a great atmosphere and everyone was really lovely, so I'm glad I went down for it. The first act I got round to seeing was PJ Harvey and she was fantastic. Not the biggest fan of hers but I'm not a huge fan of Polly live! After failing to find the Acoustic tent for Love I spent the rest of my Friday in the New Tent. First up Mark Gardener who'd I'd not heard of but wasn't bad at all. The Bees followed and actually became the only band to actually see me dance. They were brilliant! The crowd was brilliant! They seem to really love playing live and we all loved them for it Much like Jerry Fish and the Mudbug Club in the Acoustic area on Sunday. I think I was the only forummer watching Spiritualized headline on Friday, plus with being in the one tent all night my ass was parked in the second row for them. First view of Simple Kid came Saturday (Caught him again on Sunday after Jerry Fish) by that you can tell I'm a fan, Ellie said he reminded her of Beck and she was quite right, that kinda deal. Pissing with rain Keane came on after them and they brought the sun out which was nice. Then while Aphex Twin was playing somewhere on site I was elsewhere watching Paul McCartney. Still don't know why I'm so sad, Macca was wonderful and I probably wouldn't have gone for DJ AFX anyway! Don't recall much of Sunday morning, saw Tinariwen on the Jazz stage then headed for Fish & Kid. After walking from Acoustic to camp I couldn't be bothered watching James Brown in the rain, "if it was sunny" I told myself but I just wanted to laze about. Went to Belle & Sebastian later but they couldn't keep me on my feet for long so back to tent I travelled. They were good mind you, I'd of stayed if I had the energy. Then, it was Orbital. And mesmerizing is the word that comes to mind there. I think Orbital's crowd was best atmosphere on the big stages I saw. Maybe if we were surround by other people at McCartney he'd of got it, but everywhere I ended up in Orbital people were dancing, juggleing, breathing fire, lighting flares...They just seemed more up for it, not that Macca's crowd was bad or anything. They were the last act I saw, just realised. Heading back to camp I saw the firework finale at the stone circle which capped the lights of Orbital perfectly. Top 3... 1. Macca 2. Orbital 3. The Bees
Did anyone go see Scissor Sisters apart from me???? Coz they were fucking amazing! You all missed something special. Jake Shears...mmm.... Macca was amazing! Wasn't all that bothered about seeing him, but when I was there, I was blown away! Wow... Damien Rice...amazing as always...but made me a little sad to see how big and famous he is now...only seemed yesterday that he was sat in my car and no one knew who he was ...I don't like having to share my Damien... Nelly Furtado was surprisingly very good. Even Good/Girl Jonathan was tapping his foot along I believe. Badly Drawn Boy was ace. Bodixa (Leeds band who won the unsigned act place to play in the Acoustic Tent) were awesome, made me extra proud to be Northern. Muse!!!!! Feck me, had goosebumps all the way through. Wanted to get in that pit so much, but to ba honest the mud scared me! Hmmm, I can't do a top 3, so I'll have to do a top 4! 1. Macca 2. Muse 3. Scissor Sisters 4. Damien Rice
The Levellers - Even more fantastical than last time I saw them. Much fun to dance too. Bonnie Raitt - Amazing voice!!!!
lol.... actually you might be right there claire..... but Muse and Ben harper were pretty top notch too! I would have to go with Far Cue though....after all he did get naked and start wanking..... and get a ride to the stage on Giles's car
hehe that was a funny naked drummer.. my highlight would have to be belle and sebastian...was so excited before during and after..coolest band in the world.. damien rice was also good.. and many more that i cant think of!
CIDER DRINKER AND ME SAW THE SCISSOR SISTERS!!!!! THEY WERRRRE GRAND! I saw Joss Stone and she is fantastic! I saw her twice on the Jazz Stage which was her longer gig and on the Pyramid stage and she's only like 16 Alllsssso The Rutles in the Acoustic Tent, they were a spin off Beatles band who did involve Eric Idle but he wasn't there. Bright Eyes on the Pyramid Stage was great I hadn't heard anything much before but that gig was grand. Oasis on the Pyramid stage were grand I mainly liked it cos it was on hel of a great sing along cos everyone knows the words. Paul McCartney that too was a great sing along and those fireworks! Dennis Locorriere Pyramid Stage wicked! He was advertised as TBC but he turned out to be the lead siger of Dr. Hook He rocked! Simple Kid now I only heard him from outside the Acoustic Tent but he is fantastic and sounded fantasic too Well.. the top of the tips for me were... Joss Stone The Rutles Bright Eyes Scissor Sisters
Grrr...Joss Stone...me and Kat went to see her briefly at the Jazz World stage so I confirm my hatred of her. She's the same age as me and not only does she have an amazing voice, great hair and a record deal, but she got to play Glasto TWICE! I'm so incredibly jealous!:$
I dont think I saw an awful lot of bands... so my top 5 would be.... 1) Macca 2) KEANE 3) muse 4) kings of leon... Hmm beards 5) Far Cue damn I hope I didnt forget any.. my brain has forgotten most of it

Well i'm going with Damien as the best performance i saw there.....mmm i love him! Ben Harper was wicked!!!! Gomez i liked too! Kings of Leon (i agree with whoever said, mmm beards hehe) How yummy is the front guy?! He's like an icle pixie with his ears poking out and his tiny short fringe, mmmm! Anyway, back to the music! PJ Harvey was great aswell!!! Errrm, slight memory loss i seem to have picked up here!!! Lots of wicked bands anyway, i was gutted to have missed Groove Armada, i like a lot of their stuff! Divine Comedy i missed too, and apparently they were goooood! I couldn't really be asred to be honest, to rush round and try to see EVERYTHING!
