What's your favorite Donovan song?

    Does anyone here listen to Donovan? My favorite song is "Hurdy Gurdy Man", It's one of the best psychadelic songs of all time in my opinion.

    I love "Mellow Yellow" but it's not as mind blowing as "Hurdy Gurdy Man".

    Difficult question, but the first one that springs to mind is probably "Three Kingfishers" get all goosepimply just thinking about that song :D

    Sunshine Superman & Barabajagal are two of my favourites.
    They're really fun when you're tripping.

    I looove Catch the Wind, Sunshine Superman and Why Do You Treat Me Like You Do. :D

    Not many people seem to know that last one I've found, but deffffffinitely check it out. :D

    ever since I saw the pics of Donovan dressed exactly like Dylan in his early days I've had some kind of dislike for him...he had everything, the hat, the harmonica holder, the hair, he couldn't have copied him more...but he was still a great songwriter and a lot of great tunes
    my fav's gotta be hurdy gurdy man

    AHah.. Yeah I used to despise Donovan for the same reasons you dislike him. Then I bought a stack of his records.. :rolleyes: His folk is a lot different than Dylan's, I found out.

    i really like Hurdy Gurdy Man and just recently i downloaded The War Goes On and i thoght that it was a really good one, Mellow Yellow is a great one

    Donovan has his own style, he's not like Dylan except that they are both part of the 1960's folk revival.
