Give me some up to date weed recommendations!

Hi, can anyone whos been to the dam recentlyand is onto their hash in a big way please let me know what strains of hash they found most pleasant on there last visit? I am a dam regular and know most places, i go on friday and am especially in the mood for some squidgy black this time as havn't been able to get any over here for time! Also, has anyone sampled the NYC diesel that the dampkring produced for last years c/c as both time i visited last year it had sold out due to demand (gutted!) i read lots if good things & just wondered if anyone had any 1st hand experience of it. Let me know, appreciated.

This place had NYC diesel last time i was there and is well worth the visit. I like them becuase they have quite a diverse selection of weed and hash and serve alcohol.

If you like 'black' you will enjoy Bubblehash (some call it ice-o-lator).

Available lots of places - expensive at €18-€25/g, but a true caner!
AK47 at Rokerij - always top quality, and very indica dominant phenotype at the moment.
Mangolian Indica - Grey Area.

Will be sure to check both your recommendations out fully upon arrival! i go on friday 25th and plan to keep a diary of everything i do and smoke this time as normally i end up trying a really nice strain but then forget all about it and where i got it from etc. and end up having very few recommendations to give! Just as a general guide for the next time anyone goes, i would recommend the 'royal dolphin hash' from dolphins, laughing buddha (skunk) from barneys breakfast bar & blueberry from 'noon' (skunk). All good, clean highs. I'll post an update after this visit.

Hope you have a great time (well it is kind of difficult to fail in that respect).

Forgot to backup Mafumans suggestion - Hunters Bar is an excellent place to smoke and he is absolutely right in that you can buy a beer there to enjoy with your doob too - an absolute must when with my group.

If you are up on Warmoestraat you may also want to check out Hill Street Blues - good place but it does get very busy sometimes and watch your pockets in there if it is crowded.

 

Oh I went to a coffeeshop called The Bullfrog I think in Leedisplane, their house special was awesome dude!..watch your head as you go down the stairs...ouch!..nice OJ too.

I´m off to Amsterdam on the 17th july. Believe it or not, at 37, Ive never once tried any drugs of any description (unless you count copious amounts of alcohol ).

I would appreciate any input into what would be a good "starter" for a herb noob... I would also love to hear about any of your "first times".

I can heartily recommend the herb and here is my advice for new tokers!

Make sure you have something in your belly before you start.
Do not start smoking after a skinfull of beer - anyone who has done this will know what I mean .
Ask the dealer for some advice, tell him you are new to this and he will advise something nice and mellow, not too strong.
If the dealer won't give you advice - go somewhere else to buy.
I would suggest starting on some nice Morrocan pollen, or a sativa grass with a nice up high - nothing too mindblowing!, again ask the dealer (in a good coffeeshop they will be happy to help).
If you overdo it get something sweet to eat or drink, don't panic and the worst will be over in an hour or so.

Rory - The best place for hash IMO is Bushdoctors they have a complete range of imported hash, isolators and Nederhash - their weed is very good also (try the Blue Ice Velvet)


Mr T I'd recommend Orange Bud as a starter for anyone nice and mellow and a nice sweet taste, then if it agrees with you try the Mango Haze from Greenhouse or a Stella Blue from either Amnesia, Barneys or Anyday.

listen to jon here... Amnesia and Greenhouse both have great ganja (greenhouse with a bit more selection, but Amnesia has a cozier atmosphere ;-)... the AK47 from Amnesia is great buy, 6.50euro for a gram... very good pre-rolled joints, if you're a bit slow to learn how to roll (like me
