Since most of the Beatle fans I talk to say they either hate Ringo's drumming, or think he wasn't the best choice for the Beatles, it made me think. Does everyone think this? I always liked Ringo, and thought he was the better choice, because wasn't the other guy kicked out cuz he sucked? Enlighten me, I have forgotten my Beatle facts.

I like Ringo because I don't know much about Pete Best. Also Ringo was in the band when they made their best music.

I'm not very familiar with Pete Best and his qualities, but I've got nothing against Ringo. I don't know why people are so negative about him.

    Pete Best... :D

He was kicked out of the band because he was just not good, especially when compared to Ringo. I've read various articles that say Pete was only used for his name in his later bands, and didn't even play the drums.

This topic used to come up at the Oasis forums a lot, I find it hilarious. :D Pete better than Ringo, yeah right

If Pete was better than Ringo, then why would John, Paul and George decide to replace him? If you kick someone out because of his lack of qualities you don't hire somebody who is worse then the other guy, unless you don't know what you're doing. And the Beatles knew what they where doing.

Besides, he seems like a pretty nice guy from all I've read...

Pete Best is long forgotten. Ringo is familiar, and many times it is not necessarily ability but familiarity that counts, especially that Pete Best was kicked out way back in 1961.

How can anyone be a Beatle's fan if they hate Ringo's drumming????

Ringo is one of the best drummers alive...

    Pete Best didn't sing Octopus's Garden. :D

    AHhaha.. I'm such a dork.

I used to be OBSESSED with The Beatles when I was twelve. Ringo has always been my favourite, even though he didn't do as much compared to the others... (George was also wicked cool though)

He was decent, a very suitable drummer for The Beatles style of music. Is it true Ringo could not play the beat on Love Me Do? I read that on a crazy religous "The Beatles were devils" website. They made some wild accusations, but my friend said he heard this too.

I've never heard Pete Best drum so I haven't got a clue who's better. Ringo isn't necessarily better becuase he replaced Pete. Imagine if the Beatles started off with John Bonham! He's better than Ringo but you couldn't fit him in The Bealtes.

Obviously you can't compare Pete Best because... Well, where's the evidence of his drumming talents? lol

Ringo was great. Simple as that.

The Beatles wouldn't have been The Beatles if not for Ringo.. (Obviously, but you know what context I have in mind)
