    1. how do you get the 80s look? I have long hair, I was trying to get the 80s look, you know the hair metal look, like motley crue, poison, ect.

    2. does any one know how to get my hair, like nikki sixx, in the more recent times? fo an example, go to his site, theres a pic an the front page http://nikkisixx.net/

Braid your hair into about 4 braids while it's damp and take them out when your hair is dry (leaving them in overnight is a good idea). After you take them out, brush your hair and it'll be all frizzy and poofy 80's style. A little hairspray could help too.

As for looking like a modern nikki sixx, i don't think I can help you there.

I think you'll need some strong hair gel or pomade and a straightening iron. You should post a pic and it might be easier for us to give you some advice.

Yeah, keep in mind that he has a personal stylist no doubt...and that may be extensions.

It's a layered effect, you need different lengths of hair. If you want to get your hair to stand up and out like that, you can put all sorts of different things in it. For a temporary effect, use a 4x hold gel or pick up something called hair cement or hair glue. Dampen hair, apply, then shape and blow dry. Spray it with hairspray afterwards if you want it to be really stiff.
