what is a hippy?

ok people i dont know if this has been started before but i will ask this question to both the uk and us forums to see what people come up with.
Please tell me what are the philosophys,lifestyles,feelings,notions,ideas,and everything relating to you that make you a hippy.
I am asking out of interest and to educate myself and to discover if this community offers original thought.

Oh Pixie, I wish that I was as brilliant as you. I wish that all of MY views were above question. Why oh why can't I be Pixiefied? Why can't we all measure a persons decency by how many demos they've been on; just like you do reverand buddha pixiefied ghandi.

I was asking you why you are here not telling you to leave. I was hoping that you would ask yourself why you regularly post on a forum of "pretentious twats" who "call themselves hippies but don't do fuck all apart from wearing funny clothes and flicking the peace-V at people", and maybe change you attitude accordingly. Don't pretend that it's just ME who you think is a pretentious twat, because you've said it about other people in the past...generally anyone who disagrees with violence.
