Basically it's preaching to the converted. There is something we can do to make the movie really sucessful. Convince at least one person who is undecieded(Bush/kerry) to see it. Buy them the ticket, maybe take them out to dinner. That is how the movie can make an impact. High box office numbers might not add up to much in the end. Maxpower has a link to download the movie, that may be a good way to get it to people who would not go out and see it.

This movie is a good tool that should not be squandered...we are only given so many tools to work with, the trick is recognizing them and figureing out how to use them effectively:)

Think about it. If everyone follows through and does this, it would have an amazing...devestating impact!

Now that I live in Florida, I am considerably more determined to be involved in the anyone but bush campaign. In current polls in Florida, much of the hispanic population is in favor of Bush, however I think a number of them would change their tune if they were mored educated on the failures of the current administration. I doubt that he will do it, but I emailed Mike's support staff pointing this out (which I'm sure he is aware) and my suggestion was he should utilize some of the proceeds from the films success to air free screenings at theatres with spanish subtitles thoughout Florida - make an event of it. I haven't heard back, not that I'm expecting too, but I think it would be a huge hit and perhaps sway some more votes away from the GOP.

No the hispanic population would not change their mide through education. If people (hispanic or not) were properly educated they would realize kerry is already a failure and a disgrace to america. I think the word you were looking for is brain washed.

    hi danip,

i really don't understand how people could support bush. maybe would you pm me and explain your values and how bush represents you better.
do you have any gut feeling inside to guild you?
i am tryin to get a better understanding of this cause i am really at a loss.
especially when you say "brainwashed". i will admit i don't care much for kerry but in my evaluation he is holistically 100% better than bush. so far my strategy includes voting for him, but that might change.

    thank you for your time:)

see, this pisses me off. How is kerry a failure, he hasn't even had a chance, disgrace to america?! wtf, he like, fought a war for it, won a bunch of medals then had the guts to come back home and speak out against it! how much more fucking american is it to be so patriotic that you actually put your life on the line for the country you love, but also patriotic enough to challange your leaders (y'know, it's up to us to hold them accountabe). Seriously, bush was drunk most of his life, got into college on his name, ducked going overseas (he is quoted as saying that he didn't want to fire a shotgun off near his ear and go deaf or break his foot so he learned to fly plains instead, pussy), had everything he ever got handed to him because of his father, ran them all into the ground, got elected by the supreme court and now has one of the most spendthrift adminstrations ever! seriously, who's been brainwashed here?
