yay for me getting a job, guys! i am going to work at a toy store in our local mall...(malls suck, i know, but hey its money, right?!).. i start in about three weeks.... $6.90 starting off, and pay increases every 30, 60, and 90 days.. not too bad, i guess. well, i need khaki/brown pants for work... and i was wondering if you guys knew where i could find some for cheap, but still durable? and please, dont say walmart... i LOATHE walmart!!!! i'm so excited... working in a toy store is gunna be fun! its going to be kinda a "hands on" store... they are gunna have a reading corner, and an "arts and crafts" section.... have some brio train tracks out so kids can play with it.... so i'll be playing with kids! and making mooooola... although.. it is WORK, which is gunna suck. lol but its all good, right? cause its money!
congrats on the job!! you can get kaki pants at family dollar, $7 a pair - i know, i just started a new job & have to wear kaki pants too - lol!!! but i got lucky and a friend gave me a couple of pairs to start out with
I HATE WAL MART too! They take over everything everywhere! lol Actually when I was a teenager I actually worked at Wal Mart but that was a normal Wal Mart and not one of those superstores. Anyway, I would go to the thrift store if I were you. I love going through all the clothes and finding cool stuff. This may be the same but do you like Target? I am a fan of Target. Yes I know it is still a corporate store but at least Targets aren't taking over the world at least I hope not. Anyway good luck on your job! Toys will be fun until you have to deal with all the screaming parents at Christmas. LOL Yay for you on getting a job!
Crap I forgot my point on bringing up Target. lol I was going to suggest that you look there also to find some pants. They can have cute clothes sometimes.

I don't know where to get Khaki's in the US, but you should just thank your lucky stars you didn't get a job at a pizza place. I found that out the hard way. I quit after a week.
i dont mind target at all.... i just hate walmart.. they are non-union, treat their workers like shit, and put smaller businesses outta business... so they suck. but yeah, i'll check target, its that the closest one is 30 minutes away.. and the gas prices right now really suck. i'm definately gunna check the thrift stores and stuff, i didnt even think of that, for some reason. thanks! i just might have that problem.... and Moon, my friend worked at a pizza place for a while... he worked there for maybe two months or something... but he was cooking the pizzas and you should have seen the nasty burns he got... it was a local pizza place, so it wasnt as horrible as working at like pizza hut (which sucks, believe me!), but still shitty... thanks for the ideas guys, i need em! keep 'em coming!
