I saw this car drive down the street today, and I noticed the trunk was open a bit. Upon second look (after the car passed) I noticed there was a kid in the trunk. He had to be probably 7 or 8. I felt like chasing them down and smacking them. How stupid can people be. The kid was lifting the trunk lid to look out, and probably get some air. What if there was a bump in the road, or the trunk lid closed all the way and the kid was trapped with the exhaust.
Sheesh, I definitely would have called the cops. That child was in danger! Of course, you would have had to gotten all of the pertinent information, which might have been difficult to do, depending on how fast the car was going. But geez, what is WRONG with the parents?
Oh Hell! I think I would have followed them and beat their asses!! That is so fucked up, I don't even know where to begin!!! People like that need to be locked up!!!!! GRRRRR!!!!!!
In all likelihood dad was drunk and lil Junior was just settin a spell in th'trunk of the cawr when daddy took off to git more whiskey. But you're right - could have been ANYTHING.
RE: I was not in a position to follow them, as I was tanning Skye. (getting the jondos levels down) Translation: you had your child in the sun to get rid of excess bilirubin? He was jaundiced? When/if it hits the eyes, get thee to a doctor. Seriously.
He's been to the doctor, they said it wasn't at a serious level, it was just slight. Said to let him sun for about 5 minutes at a time, it is clearing up pretty good, I think.
my daughter had that when we brought her home. pretty common. it went away pretty quickly with a little sun exposure, which also helped both our moods. look out for those "convenient" baby foods. we had a lotta food donated to us from friends and family since we were in such dire straights. turns out all that baby food has carrots in it. my little girl was orange forever. no harm done, really. but still...
