I just watched Crash this weekend and what a great movie. I loved how everyone from a different race was tied together somehow, and crashed together. I was wondering what everyone that seen it thinks about it. Oh and if anyone has seen other movies like that. I know the movie GO is like that also.
There have been other posts about this movie on here recently if u wanna look back. Some interesting points have been made
i seen the movie twice, i admit i like it But alot fo shit really did bug me about the movie..... 1) The fact that Everything even as small as it seems is based on race in Los Angeles 2) Alotta People in the movie were really shallow and in a movie where theyre supposed to be real and gritty it still felt like nothing more than scripted bullshit 3) Some stories were just pointless, They went nowhere and affected nothing 4) Being a Movie Showing all sides of race....Asians didnt really get much spotlight other than the slaves in the truck and the guy Delivering them like cattle and the one annoying lady from the beginning speaking in a stereotypical Asian immitation 5) The Only things that truly stood out were the Sories of the Mexican Locksmith and his Daughter, and Don Cheadle's relationship with his mother, The rest is added basically as just shock value and pointless banter about How "Racism is Bad" Other than that....It was an Okay film
To each their own, but I love that movie! The scene with the locksmith and his daughter running out and being shot at, MAN!!! That scene reallly grabbed me, I dont want to give any spoilers, but those of you who have seen it, you know what Im talking about.
I loved the way the film was put together. There is are so many film techniques it was great! I really think it needs to get more praise.
