I take a jazz technique class from an instructor that has been teaching for over 40 years. Her and I have worked on dance choreography together before, but this is only the second time she's seen me in class. She complimented me on my posture and such and said "I wish I could have gotten ahold of you ten years ago you would have been fabulous." AT the time I didn't really think of it, but now it kinda pisses me off, just because I'm "old" for a dancer (at 22), doesn't mean I can't be a fabulous dancer. Now I know how those old people feel who get discriminated against just cuz their old... BLAH!
that sucks, but if it pisses you off just wait long enough and you'll get a chance to dance on that teachers grave....muahaha
Maybe if someone got hold of your teacher 30 years ago she would have been 'fabulous' and not just fucking teaching Ugly people say ugly things. Your cute, only 22 and in your prime... your fabulous
No, see she was saying that if you were younger, you would have had more time to develop into a better dancer.. someones a little self conscious about their age
Yeah but WTF is a shitty comment like that going to achieve? DancerAnnie is only 22 and obviously enjoys dancing. How would her teacher like it if DancerAnnie replied, "watch where your walking.. you almost stepped on your fucking tits" Get me?
No, cause thats in no way a compliment. she was just complimenting her on her dancing ability, and saying she could have been an even better dancer had she taken lessons from her earlier. generally people start dancing younger.
in that case, she was just complimenting herself by saying only she could have made you a better dancer
Sure I am...but I teach more than I take class now. Used to dance six hours a day, six days a week, but had to "retire" at seventeen because of some debilitating injuries. I still work five days a week, but do both teaching and paperwork. It's much less stress on my joints.
