I agree, alcohol is pure evil and as a good practising Catholic I am against all forms of alcohol, except for red wine.

    Love, bird.

What a negative and downgrading reply, it is obviously the alcohol talking.
I am proud to be a Catholic. If you want to I can introduce you to Our Lord and His son Jesus Christ to get rid of all your problems.

Our Lord loves you too, even if you do not recognise your love for Him yet. You are also a part of His family, my friend.
Praise Our Lord, He who saves us from evil.

    Aren't all catholics alcoholics anyway?

Personally, I find that alcohol only brings out the best in me. I'm a happy drunk.

It depends on if the person in question knows how much they can handle so as not to be a complete asshole and too drunk where they're getting sick.
We were at a concert with some friends who are heavy drinkers (though we are not). We had enough to get a tiny buzz and smoked a few bowls in the car on the way there, so we were stoned. They didn't smoke, but had a Huge Slushee size cup filled with a very strong Screwdriver. By the time we got there they were pretty drunk, then they ordered about 12 beers and had about 6 each. Now they were sloppy drunk and kept trying to grab us, despite the fact that they knew we had pulled some muscles and were in pain, in the very places we had the pulled muscles! We asked them a million times to stop, which only made them more obnoxious. Finally, one of them starting getting sick but they both kept drinking in between trips to the bathroom.
When the concert is over, they decide to drive home drunk but since it's her car and we have no other way to get home so late at night, we have to go. Now she's fighting back sickness and starts to yell and scream at us for how rude we to her and she starts sobbing. So we apologize and try to soothe her feelings even though we don't know what we did that was so rude, besides telling her to stop grabbing us. Anyway, the ride was over 2 hours long (the longest 2 hours ever between her crying, then yelling, then making rude comments and insulting us) and now the friendship is gone between us all.
So, if you know when to say 'enough' alcohol can be fun on occasion, though pot is the best. Sorry this was so long everyone! Peace!

I think in the beginning all drugs are "happy" drugs. That's why they're so attractive. Duh. But (even pot) as you develop a dependence they turn on you. I've been drinking a lot here lately and it's starting to turn on me. My wife and I talked about it and we agreed to cut back. So far I've stuck to it. She still drinks every day but not as much. I'm down to a couple times a week, and not as much. If pot were legal that'd be my drug of choice, for sure. But it needs to be occasional.

Since my son was born, I'm down to where I will get high every once in a while, instead of all day every day. Now it's like one of those, "it's midnight and everyone is asleep, I'll sneak outside and have a hit or two" The funny thing is it only takes a hit or two to get me a good buzz now. I don't smoke to get high anymore, I just catch a mild buzz to relax. I don't want to be unable to think in case of an emergency. As far as drinking goes, I don't really care for it. I drank heavily when I was around 19 or 20, because the bar I went to never carded me and I felt cool. After I reached legal age, it just wasn't fun anymore. I don't like the lack of motor control, or the over exaggerated emotions the come with being drunk.

I rarely drink anymore, but when I do, the emotions that it brings out depends on two factors. One, what type of alcohol I am consuming, and two, how much I have consumed.

At a certain point, there's the warm and fuzzy feeling where emotions are easily expressed, sentimental thoughts are shared and fond memories are recalled. But then there is the point where negativity creeps in, past unpleasant memories resurface, and the waterworks begin.

I just don't drink much anymore because it makes me feel like crap in general. I always seem to get sick and then I can't sleep for some reason, like it hypes me up. Could be an interaction with the medications I take daily, but either way, drinking just isn't really my thing anymore.

i cant remember a time where ive felt bad while drunk unless its late at night and i stink and i want to sleep but i know i need to drink some water and stay up a bit to sober down before i go to bed. im careful about vomiting in my sleep since it happened to me once.

when im drunk i love to MOVE. my favourite effects of alchohol are first the way it feels to move and dance, the way i feel i can do any dance move (and sometimes manage to do stuff i wouldnt normally be able to do because i wouldnt normally have the physical and mental momentum, like dance handstands and stuff lol)
when im drunk alone, i love to run around my house, and ive got lots and lots of flights of stairs in my house so i run to the top and then jump down as many stairs as possible
and i love looking at the mirror every now and then when drunk. and touching my face and stuff, all those physical numbing but energy

    yeh

the other effect i like is of course the lack of inhibitions. not so much to pick up my courage,... but i just think of things that i find really funny because ill think or say anything lol. sometimes its profanities and sometimes its actually witty.

im one of those affectionate drunks who when totally drunk, ill thank anybody who does anything good to me, and say my oppinions on people who i admire.

ive never felt the desire to get into a fight, nor have i EVER felt unhappy when drunk.

so i guess thats pretty good eh

also, ive foudn that i never have hangovers unless i fall asleep while drinkning. i like the morning after getting pissed, when people are all groggy but i feel like a joint and a cigarette and can take on anything the day brings.

my bad side when drunk.. is probably.. well i embarrass myself by saying things i perhaps shouldnt, letting someone in on a secret for example that i shouldnt.. but im still fairly responsible with that i think.

ive not got blind drunk too much though. thats largely by choice though. the first time i got really really godamn drunk (you know, put down a drink, pick up a drink, take peoples drinks that theyve left behind, etc) i told people stories about having phone sex with random people, started hitting on girls with lines like 'hey babe... im gay, wanna hook up?' (im sure i found it hillarious at the time lol), sitting with a black friend, together shouting at this black chick telling her she was a ****** (we definately found that funny), tried to go home with people by getting in their cars before they drove off, i appparently pissed in this dudes pantry but im not convinced that I did it lol, and at one point a guy picked me up after passing out, and slapped me really hard across teh face a few times. needless to say i barely remember any of this, i was told about it the next morning when i just woke up and foudn some of my friends watching thunderbirds after apparently spending hours clearning my piss out of this guys pantry. we went to teh store and bought baked beans and milk, which i delivered to some random guy's place i knew because i remembr one time i was drunk i made a promise to bring him milk one day and just happened to know where his house was.

since then i tried not to keep drinkning at a certain point. needless to say i failed a few times lol but never having a blackout lasting that long (most of the night).

last time i blacked out (as in, i cant remember what happened), i was stumbling around outside my place vomiting on the street after hugging a random aboriginal lady and giving her my whole pouch of tobacco.

so yeh i try not to get that pissed these days, instead just getting really drunk and stoned and dancing a lot.

though i must say i hate drinkning beer. i love to get drunk on spirits.. caus its really fast and i can fit more food inside me before i feel like throwing it up.

or chick drinks.. (you know, soft drinks with alchohol in them). i never buy them but theres always some going around at parties and they taste good.

    and yeh thats my drinkningness
