Make cable: sl next 4 st onto cn, hold at back of work, k next 4 sts, k 4 sts from cn, p2, k1* repeat 3 times for 1 rnd rows 2-10: *k1, p2, k8, p2, k1* repeat 3 times for 1 rnd. Bottom: co 56 sts holding 2 colors together, divide btwn 4 needles (14 st on each needle) row 1: k row 2: *p2, bo2, p2, bo2, p2, bo2, p2* repeat on each needle. row 3: *k2, co2, k2, co2, k2, co2, k2* repeat on each needle row 4: p Body: work in pattern until piece (heehee!) measures 8 in. Tip: row 1: *k1, p2, k2tog, k4, k2tog, p2, k1* repeat on each needle row 2: *k1, p2, k2tog, k2, k2tog, p2, k1* repeat on each needle row 3: *k1, p2, k2tog, k2tog, p2, k1* repeat on each needle row 4: *k1, p2tog, k2, p2tog, k1* repeat on each needle row 5: *k2tog, k2, k2tog* repeat on each needle row 6: k2tog, repeat for entire row row 7: k2tog, repeat for entire row you should now have 4 sts left on the needles. Thread the yarn through and tuck in ends. Thread the ribbon through the buttonholes on the bottom edge. Done!
