while driving, here, in the city limits....... I think thats a good idea. most people (Im not saying all) do not pay attention to what they are doing when they are on the phone.
i though that was already a law...maybe just here- but i see cops driving while on their cell phone all the time
I think it's a good idea too. Around my neck of the woods, it seems rare that you see anybody WITHOUT a cell phone glued to their ear while driving. Must explain all of the traffic accidents. Sure, I too am guilty of using a phone while driving, but I can count on one hand how many times I've done that. However, I also noticed that I was driving much more carelessly while doing so, almost getting into some bang-ups, so the cell phone isn't used while driving anymore.
yeh its shit when you see people doing it, unless its like just for a minute when stopped at teh lgihts or just leaving... but when theyre just driving along and they overtake you and you see theyve got a phone in one hand its pretty fuckin annoying. but yeh its been a law here for more than a little amount of time
A lot of the time when I am talking on the phone and driving, I like to recline my seat all the way back and drive with one foot, sometimes I close my eyes, cause I can't see where I am going anyhow! Really though, I don't think people should be allowed to talk on their phones while driving. I saw a guy the other day, speeding down the road, swerving like a drunken monkey (and we all know how bad them damn drunken monkeys drive), talking on his cell phone, not a care in the world. I just wanted to yell, hang up and drive!
I talk on the phone and drive at the same time. I haven't hit anything while doing so yet. I'm sure I've been flicked off a few times but I try not to look at the people I cut off. Yeah, I'm that girl on the phone you all love to hate.
9 times out of 10 ..while riding my bike and almost been hit.. even after looking into the persons eyes.. they are on a cellphone. lights green.. they just GO!! i've seen 4 fender benders in the past few months.. all were on their phone. are you really that important that you must indanger your own life.. the lives of others just to chat it up on the phone. i know cellphones have message centers. let them leave a message. call them back when you're not trying to watch traffic, not trying to shift, not trying to run of people walking and on bicycles. i'm just grumpy today too after almost being ran over twice already.. both people were on the phone too.. go figure
I'd say at least half of the people driving in Houston are on cell phones. Then the other half are just plain bad drivers.
People really are total morons. Obviously, it's a good idea to drive an SUV at 65mph down a winding road with no shoulder while talking on a cell phone. Obviously. It must be because every Tom, Dick and Harry in the Cincinnati area seem to do so... repeatedly. My hubby and I are always on "dickhead watch" while driving.. "watch out for that dickhead.. he isn't going to stop at the stop sign!" Stupid people... maybe we should all just move to the country and let the stupid people kill themselves off?
wow I had no idea it was legal in other states.. here you get a huge ticket if you get caught with a cell phone while driving, you can only use them for emergencies on the road... Anyway I hate cell phones. Mine's always off, I always forget to charge it...
im suprised tvs in cars arent illegal. Or maybe they are? My friend got a tv for his car, and he watched movies while he drives. And i dont mean he listens and drives, he actually looks at the screen, then glances at the road every once in a while..
i guess if you buy and install them yourself you can have em anywhere I thought the same thing about only having them on when the car was in park.
its not so much not being able to use your hands as it is taking your mind off the road and wahts happenin
