    It is like a blend of Jazz and salsa. I love this music. It calms me down and brings me to hot classy beaches with a martini in my hand.
    Bossanova was very popular in the sixties with the jetsetters.

    Im not too knowledgable on it, but i love the song 'desifindo'. (the one sang in portugeuse, the English version sucks)

    Oooooo, I do! Love Bebel Gilberto. Her stepmother sang "Girl from Ipanema". This kind of music puts me in the right place.[​IMG]

    bossanova is awesome.....it's a fun style to play on the drumset.....very relaxing

    Yes, bossanova is some good listening. I can't listen to it all of the time, but it's great for when the mood hits.

    also Getz/Gilberto

    That's a good start.

    I like all the artist mentioned. One of my favorites are Sergio Mendes Brazil'66, with vocalist Lani Hall. I saw Sergio's new band this year in Cleveland. He still rocks!
