Any hippies in the Tampa area???

I just moved to Florida from Seattle & all I see are preps so far & feel very much like an outcast & miss Seattle bunches. I am going to go to Mitchell High this year & I don't know anyone. Suburbia is freaky & I hate bein' lonely.
Anyone out there???

 

i was gunna go to university of tampa this year but ended up going to community school-fccj. sorry man, i coulda been there for ya too! well, im in jacksonville beach if you ever make a trip out here. id be happy to show you around and have ya meet some of my hippy friends.

 

Hey sister! You're in Trinity? I'm in Holiday! That's only 3-4 miles away. There's other heads around here too. You're in a good place. Just give yourself a little time to meet people and don't let the smile slip off your face.

There's some really great places to go canoeing and kayaking here, nature parks on the beach. Tarpon Springs has a cool pier if you like shops and stuff. The drum circles are down in St Pete and Siesta Key(Sarasota). There's lots of ways to have fun around here.

I'm sorry you're lonely but you won't be for long. Quite a few other heads from the Tampa area post here too. Just keep an eye out here at the boards and they will show up!

Welcome to Florida, btw, I hope you can be as happy here as anywhere you've been but I know the northwest coast can get in your heart very easily. It's a wonderful place to be but so is wherever you are!

The Ichetucknee Rive is a great place to go tubing too. I'm going on Friday!

There's so many fun things to do here in Florida. You'll love it here. You've already met two people from there from just going online. Pretty cool if you ask me!
