Who saw Corpse Bride tonight? Wasn't it AMAZING? Tim Burton is a genius. I won't say anything about it here for fear of spoilers, but I will say that the claymation was amazing and Danny Elfman's score was excellent.
I swear he (Elfy) sounds like Tom Waits...at least in this one (listen hard to the singing skeleton).

    no

not nearly as good as I had hoped
it has shitloads of funny puns, but the story doesn't go into anything enough, way too short, I wouldn't mind the length but it's not just short it's short because it's rushed
Danny Elfman seems like he was trying too hard and not just makin the music, I was suprised, I mean it was good and all, but could have been better
I say wait for it to come to TV

I thought it was cute and neat.. but an extra 30-40 minutes of story development would helped A LOT

Oh yes! Ed Wood! I own that movie! It is very very very good. Johnny Depp plays the lead role, Ed Wood, who was voted the worst director of all time. His most famous work was Plan 9 From Outer Space, and he wore women's clothing. It's a very good movie.

I saw the Corpse Bride on Wednesday with my boyfriend and I was a tad bit disappointed. It was a beautiful movie, but it seemed like it was entirely too short, like something was missing. Though I really did enjoy the story line and maybe the fact it seemed to end so quickly meant it was so good I didn't even realize that much time went by. I really did like it, though, and do plan on buying it when it comes to video. I'm a huge fan of both Johnny Depp and Tim Burton and I especially love their collaborations.

Honestly, I was disappointed with the movie. I couldn't even compare with The Nightmare Before Christmas. But I suppose comparing the two isn't really fair. On it's own without comparison, I would say it was decent.

well, its not easy to do claymation........... it is probably short for a reason....... just think of how many painstaking hours they had to do, just to get a few scenes done

    it could have been worse.

I thought the remake was pretty good

and charlton hesston as an ape?? I didnt see that comin...... the story line was different, and the ending was quite different....... it just raised even more questions...

I didn't enjoy this movie as much as I felt I should have. In reply to the main post, I really do enjoy Danny Elfmans singing.
I think my favorite part about this whole movie (besides the plot, which was cute) was the butler. He walks as though he is a bee or something.
Overall, the movie wasn't bad, but nothing to celebrate.
