oh yeah, i googled it, and i did see this with my boyfriend in may, and i loved it, although, the story line was a little i dunno, hokey?... hehe, the whole concept was great. i'd never read anything about quantum physics, so this was a great way to learn some stuff... very enlightening...
My yoga teacher really wanted me to see it but I decided to pass because it looked a but corny for me.
It was better than the average film(which isn't high praise) but I didn't buy the whole 'aboriginals didn't believe that ships existed and therefore were unable to see the explorers on the ship' business. If we were unable to see things that we can't fathom, we would never have evolved.
holy shit....what an out of the box movie!!!! completely in love with it and intend on watching it a hundred times
What the Bleep Do We Know is a movie that will really get you thinking. It can also pick you up if you're feeling down because it let's you know that their are others out there that think like you do.
i first saw it at the pageant theatre in chico ca with my friends nyima and courtney. one day my english teacher comes running up to me at school and asks if i've seen the movie, and i told her no. she says i have to see it and actually gives me the money to see it when i said i didnt have any money. then nyima got some money to see it and we snuck courtney in. and it was awesome.
Anyone seen this Alice in Wonderland"ish" documentary/narrative? Explores the nature of reality and our ability to control it and sooo much more...
I thought it was a well crafted, and very clearly made the case for both a Quantum and neuro-behavioralist explanation of the 'mind over matter' phenomena. However, I heard one critic expose the fact that the film was largely financed by the controversial 'channeler' J.Z. Knight. She does have a prominent role in the film, and I believe the film's point of view also reflects her own. Despite J.Z. Knight, I thought it was convincing, or at least provocative.
i found it to be an interesting documentary illustrating alot of overlap btw quantum theory and existential philosophy (or atleast non physicalistic/realist philosophy) The scientists who spoke seemed intelligent and NON STUFFY which I really enjoyed.
It's a recruiting film for the Ramtha cult in Washington. It's full of pseudo-scientific sounding gibberish.
So cool. All matter is dark matter, and empty, with potential for patterns to flow through it... Amazing.
Its scientific THEORY...chill the hell out man, it was a good movie, thought provoking. If you liked that, check out Nova's 'The Elegant Universe' heres a link to where you can watch it online. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html
It is not theory, either. What it is is a bunch of Star Trek-ish sounding stuff put out by a CULT to try and get people INTO THE CULT. It's the RAMTHA cult in Washington. Do you believe dilithium is scientific theory too, cause it's in Star Trek?
I wondered about this film after i was done watching it. I can relate to the theory of it being related to a cult, i got that sense from it - There was also a documentary and album put out with the help of Brian Eno a few years ago called "One Giant Leap" that was also i believe, using subliminal message to recruit peopel for a cult. The movie was well put to gether but i thought it had somewhat of an Superiority complex, what the fuck do we know? somewhat demeaning title, considering all the jibberish that was talked on in the film.
relax you paranoid androids........ i learned plenty about quantum theory, philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, and cognitive science at a university level and these theories have been around for a while. Perhaps a bunch of cult kooks believe in such theories but that hardly makes them invalid or unplausable. (not tooting my own horn just providing credentials)
