Would you give up your ride due to the price of fuel or any reason for that matter? I get 8.2 mpg and still say fuck opec, they cant make me walk.
I'm staying with some friends in Austin, and I rode up with some friends... I've been carless for three days, and I'm kinda thinking of drinking to forget my pain. I love my car, and if I have to pull daring gas runs with my pistol blazing, then thats whats gonna happen.
lol. awesome. i drive a big ol' nasty suburban that i got for $1k. can't beat the price. since i don't drive much it's not too much of an ass kicker. i fill up the tank about once every month and a half, and it's only that frequent now because i have to drive to another city to see my ob/gyn.
I would walk or bike to where I need to go except I live in a rural area, and its about 20km into the city.
there's a trolley stop about 2 miles up the road from me, and i love riding the trolley, even though it only goes along main st. but i'm not suppsed to walk anywhere. and i have a 3 year old, and there's not enough safe room to walk on this particular county road.
i dont make unnecessary journies so no.... i'm not giving up mine... governments need to use some of the money they take from us in tax on fuel and use it for research into viable fuel alternatives instead of ploughing it into non efficient badly run public transport... untill then my car comes with me everywhere i go
I can't give mine up......otherwise I wouldn't be able to get to work every day. There are no busses where I live. Plus I would be stuck at home all the time.
my ride is a bike, fuel prices don't affect the crappy value of my bike or hte cost of riding it. I take the bus in winter, but I've got my four month pass so they can't charge me anymore goddamit
