Spent most of my weekend at a little festival called Vwoodstock for us veedub freaks, just thought I'd post a few pics of some of the vehicles ... a couple had been painted just for the festival, but some are like it all the time ... mine is the yellow one with the smiley face on it
Were there any people there or did you just leave the cars and vans to enjoy themselves on their own? Neat pictures!
Think there was about 6000 people in all ... The music was nearly all tribute groups doing 60's and 70's stuff, a little blues band called The Hamsters topped the bill Anyway ... here be some people
Ah well, I liked the idea of everyone leaving their vans and cars to enjoy the music undisturbed ... in the third picture it looks like they're all listening to the band ...
wikkid pics man. where was this stufabulous fest? I wish i had a Vdub but im tooscared to learn to drive :S
Hertfordshire, some field just off junction 9 of the M1 ... there are VW shows nearly every weekend now until September but this is the only one that I know of that has live music. Anyways, learn to drive, it isn't that bad. I'd recommend vdubs to anyone ... I no longer get road rage, no more speeding fines or expensive repair bills. Plus my van makes people smile when they see me coming.
Fantastic pics!!! Fantastic motors too Have you heard about the big VW festival they have in Mexico with their really sooped up VWs?
I have a fobia of driving, makes my feel sick. cant do it my only initiative is to get a Vdub, but i figure im starting uni this year and as brightons a one way system its pointless me getting a car cos ill barely use it for the next 3 yearts
wow!!! i want one!!!!!! right, the list of motors i'd like to own are; cruiser-bike (big fat harley or something!! lol) v dub beatle and wagon and possibly some more, but custom built ones that are eco friendly hehehe
Looks like a great show...I missed it unfortunately as I was at a Mini show (I have a Mini, real not B#W) - I usually go to a lot of VW events with my mate in his lovely old split-screen. I think I heard they have some bands at Bug Jam this year, tho the main entertainment is usually more dance-related (not my bag really)...
I think Bad Manners are playing at Bugjam this year. Dance isn't my thing either, I go for the atmosphere more than anything.
heres a piccy of my baby. i had to sell him a few years ago coz, although vdubs rule, they are expensive to run and break alot, unless you have the finances to buy a really good one to begin with (which most people dont.) i disagree with the bit about no more speeding tickets either. i still managed to get 6 points in mine!!! other than that, if i had limitless finance i would definately own another, coz there's nothing cuter on the road! peace and love stardust xxx
aw man they really are fantastic. those photos are brilliatn! thats the sort of thing that makes me want one of them! but i still want another certain type of car....i'd paint it though... Jaz
