is it gods will when i fart?
no serious disrespect intended here i just dont like when people say everything is gods will just because it happens, i mean we all know shit happens...gods will?

disaster, pain, death......never was God's will. BUt that doesnt mean He will stop everything bad from happening to us. He told us in Revelations and Daniel about the wars, floods, and serious storms that will be happening in the end times. Obviously these things have been happening for years, but look how much worse it is now.

So at what point does god say "Oh man, this is terrible, I have to do something!" And intervene with nature? Why would god pick and choose what to be involved in? A lot of people ( i dunno if you're included) think that bad stuff happening is just the course of nature, but anything good is god's will. Can anyone explain that? Why is nature so bad that it always has to be corrected by a higher power?

 

I would like an explanation as well, but here I have something else to say.

Nature is not 'bad' or 'good'. It simply 'is', like the rest of the physical universe. We, naturally being judging creatures, label the 'good' and 'bad'.

It is self-correcting. The only reason it would be wiping us out is because we are the ones screwing up the natural equilibrium. If its anyone's will, its our own gone wrong.

 

If we choose to build communities in areas where natural phenomenon occur then how can we be suprised if there is massive destruction? If you live at the foot of a volcano you know that at some time it will erupt...the same with earthquakes....and if you live in an area where tornados and hurricanes are a threat then you are at their mercy.. not gods will... mans choice...
If we as humans are prepared to live in these places then can we blame anyone but ourselves if our defences are inadequate?....

In his book, Wilkerson states that God will unleash the fury of nature to try and get the world to think about eternal values. These violent reactions from nature will clearly be brought about by God. He states that it will get so bad that many experts will be saying that nature is losing its balance. The weather will cause the prices on many items to increase. He states that discerning people will have within them an innate knowledge that God is behind these strange events and is unleashing the fury of nature to force men into a mood of concern about eternal values. He states that he is not sure when this will happen, but God has warned him that conditions will worsen. He stated that Americans will be shocked when disaster funds are exhausted.
He also states in the same book that God is going to split the Iron and Bamboo curtains, and that God is bringing a temporary truce between the East and the West. God is allowing this time of peace so the Gospel can be preach in the Communist countries, Russia, China, and Eastern Europe. He said this short time of peace will only be temporary truce. Also in the same book he speaks of how both priest and ministers are going to be exposed for their sexual sins. He states that God is going to dispatch a huge flock of telltale birds that will reveal which ministers and laymen have indulge in secret sins. This book was published, in 1974.

Its all calling the play after the fact or making a reasonable assumptions then atributing it to God.

 

I'm not sure if you thought about what you just said, but after the fact? You mean after the fact that the United States just lost the War in Viet Nam. Or after the fact that Leonid Brezhnev just invaded Czechoslovakia and Afghanistan. The only reasonable assumption at the time, was Russia was on the move, and America could not box itself out of a rice patty. Nobody in the private sector, or government, was predicting the fall of Communisum in 1974.
Nobody that is, but David Wilkerson. And 15 years later when the Berlin Wall came down, I still remember news ankors saying, ''who could of predicted this?'' Thumontico, check your history book, I don't have to, I was one of those who enlisted, I remember.

 

I feel that it is God's Will. It says to fear God maybe it's his way of waking us up. We always turn to him when disater strikes. I agree with seahorse about the signs of the times and prophecy coming to pass. It was God's Will when he told Noah to build the Ark and he flooded the entire planet. Why did he do this, because the world was corrupt but, he made a promise that he would never destroy the entire earth by flood again and when you see a rainbow it was sent as a reminder of the promise that God had made.

 

Hurricanes are the Earth's way of staying cool,
they happen because the cycle of life on Earth happens.

That is the way of things.

The only time the are considered
bad are when humans die, or
buildings fall.

That only happens because we build
on coasts, and get in the way.

Hurricanes dont destroy us because
they are a Divine vengence, but
just a natural happening that we
are simply affected by.

 

Well, I believe God is in the driver seat, and He can use His Hurricanes for what ever purpose He desires. And right now, I think God is useing them to cool us down.

 

Then haven't signs of the end times been around forever? Disasters aren't that uncommon.

The Earth is driving, and hurricanes have always been to cool off.

Just because your god made it rain in Israel, doesnt give
him control of the weather globally.
