I just learned to crochet and am loving it! Half-way through a queen sized blanket. I am excited to learn to make more things though, like a hat and a tote, but the patterns I am finding are really difficult for a newbie like me to understand. Does anyone have any truly EASY to understand patterns for hats (like rasta or cloches) and totes?

you might want to try http://about.ca as well. they have tons of patterns as well as an extensive stitch glossary and a really interesting news letter with lots of funky patterns to try out. :D
