Im going to grow outside this spring and was wondering where the hell I could grow outside without anyone finding it when I remembered google earth. I scanned my neighborhood a few times and found the perfect patch of land deep in the woods where I could clear out a feild for my crop. It's only a 20 minute walk from my house and I think the land belongs to AT&T so I don't have to worry about people strolling through the woods and stumbling upon my plants.
haha, thats a great idea. i should take a look at that Just make sure they dont upgrade the images and find ur crops
clearing out a feild to grow in is bound to draw attention, your way better off scattering plants randomly amongst the natural vegatation
good job man, but obviously you'll want to do some on-site reconnisance, to be sure about how many people visit the area and stuff.
Yeah, when you're checking around, take a look at the trail, if there is one. You can usualy tell if a trail is well walked or overgrown and forgotten. Take a different path in every time you go, walk in from different edges of the field, keep sporadic and random, so people dont see you walking in and out of the same trail head every few days. And google earth kicks ass.
I was thinking of using a handheld GPS map to guide me to the spot I chose, and were talking pretty deep in the woods so I don't think I'd have a problem clearing a small patch of land. I mean how many people go strolling into the unpathed forests of AT&T anyway? I could just use the coordinates I got from google earth to pinpoint the location and avoid getting lost. lol colours, I had that same Idea about them updating the pics but I think it would be too vague and unclear to distinguish it. Anyway, I encourage anyone planning on growing outside this year to use google earth, it's a great tool and can make your work a lot easier.
Dont clear the land out because if someone does end up back there they will shurely see it and all your crops will be lost. Grow them near plants that have similar leaves or behind thorn bushes. You also have to take into consideration that wild animals may find your grow if people dont and eat your entire crop in a matter of days, thats why you may want to consider planting them behind or in patches of thorn bushes to deter them.
