so i bought this awesome looking new piece for myself...i used it and realized that it was just a glass bowl for a bong...i sucked everything right through... so i guess i just got confused at the store...but i feel like such and idiot... now my dilema is should i put a small square of grate and use it as pipe or go and get a bong... i'm embarrassed. here it is: obviously a bong bowl right?
yeah, thats a slide. but so long as the hole in the bottom of the bowlpack isn't too much bigger than a normal one, it should be fine to use it without a bong. just smoke a few bowls out of it and the inside of the bowlpack should definitely be full with enough resin to keep most of it all in there while you're smoking it, and you can use it like a glass chillum. i suggest using nugs only at first if possible, though, because mids are dry and not sticky enough, and will fall right out until theres resin in it. if you don't use it in a bong, it will be fine to use this way. if you do use it in a bong, then the end will probably end up getting a little resinated after a while even on the outside of the tube, making it unpleasant to smoke like a chillum. however, if you buy a bong to go with the slide, you have to make sure you get the right kind, because the diameter of the slides and downpipes/female peices need to match up, and they come in a variety of sizes depending on manufacturer and the store you bought it at. also, nearly all bongs come with their own slide, and you aren't likely to be able to convince the store to sell you one without the slide for a discounted price. so either you'll get a bong and have a backup slide for it (which could be convenient in case you accidentally drop and break one, or to have two packed before you even start smoking so you dont have to reload halfway through) or you can just break it in until it works the way you want and have kind of a funny looking peice. it will be "unique" though, so if you like the look then go for it. certainly breaking it in will be far cheaper.
thanks...i think i'll break it in...it'd be cheaper...and i do like the way it looks...kind of cool...people will just think i'm an uniformed dork...but oh well.
Hey man, if it gets you high, why not? You picked a good slide, too, nice colors. If you ever make a home made bong or maybe an iron lung or something like that, that would come in handy, rather than trying to make your own bowl for it.
yah i def suggest u make ur own water bong, and use that as ur slide. i think that would be dope.atleast thats what i would do.
i know i know...i really should have know...i've used bongs with slides and i don't know how it slipped my mind...duh. it's pretty though
no...i got it on a sale day (no returns)...maybe it was the crowd that got me confused...anyways...i've decided to keep it...put a grate in it for now...and let the reisen build up...i may stick it in a bong i might make at some point in the future...but i don't feel like doing it now.
