I HATE this fucking question!!!!! are people fucking stupid!?!?! there are more things on this planet than just meat and dairy, to eat. meat and dairy make up a smalllllll portion of the things that are edible to humans. people need to do some fucking research.
people who ask crap like that are just ignorant about food & hav restricted old fashioned tastes -ther not gonna research shit - any1 with a bit more class could work out that ther r dozens of quizeens from all over - pasta curry chinese blah blah style fine for vegetarian cookin & there r more veg than just chips - the'll look at a piece of ginger root & go whats that? like its from fuckin mars or something
there are two types of people that ask this question. one type are those that don't know and really want to know so its worth sitting down with them and sharing what you know. the other type are just taking the piss, don't get angry with them a blanket 'I won't lecture you on your diet so please don't lecture me on mine' should do S
That's what I was going to say A lot of omnis seem to have no idea about meat free diets, after all it doesn't affect them personally, so it's just a curiosity thing. I don't mind that question much. The one that gets me is 'you don't what you're missing'.... yes I do, that's why I'm a vegetarian. TTFN Sage
i dunno, personally, i think if all someone eats is meat and dairy and they have absolutely no clue of any other type of food, something's wrong with their life. that's just me, anyways.
People at lunch used to throw meat into my food and thought it was hilarous. I'm so glad people matured a little since 4th grade.
Sometimes, it can be annoying when people ask in a discriminating way, "What do you eat?" I try to think of answering that question as a way for me to review what I have been eating, and maybe make some changes for the better (sometimes , I go overboard on the tortilla chip..haha).
I asked this question before I became vegetarian. Everyone has to be ignorant to something.. How do you become unignorant? You ask questions! When people ask me what I eat I tell them or make a joke. Don't hate them cause they don't know.
Meat and dairy are two types of food I usually avoid. I prefer vegetables, fruit, freshly baked bread (with unbleached flower, good ingredients), SOMETIMES fish....and a small portion of grains. Sometimes I like a good pizza though with pepporoni, it has to be made with fresh ingredients though (i have to go to atlanta or so, not places around here)
If you're a vegetarian who eats milk products and eggs, there are lots of food to eat no matter where you are. Except some people insist on adding hot dogs, or hamburg in spaghetti and mac & cheese. If they are making pizza, they keep trying to give you pepperoni slices as if the pizza isn't complete with just mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives (if ya like those) and lots of cheese. If you make stir-fried rice they keep looking and waiting for the meat so they can start eating. If ya go to anyone else's house for dinner and ask what the meal is all they will say is "we are having--------" fill in blank with meat, as if that is all there is for the whole meal. I have seen people go shopping and complain about they food bill when they get home. Well half or most of it is meat, junk food, and cigarettes...all stuff those poor people could live without, well guess if they are buying that then they ain't all that poor or at least not as poor as they want ya to believe.
who was that comment to? sorry I was 40 in March and 4 of my kids are older then 14. So if that comment was to me, then this second picture sure don't look like a young teenager.
