Newbies

I know we're out there so I'm going 2 suck it up and speak. I am a newbie. I know very little but a lot of random stuff. I'm trying to get into this kind of stuff and I would greatly appreciate any advice on...


1. What to do and not to do in the circle
2. How the money thing works between friends
3. How much to do for the FIRST time
And anything else u want to throw out there


If u laugh at me or any1 who is just trying 2 get straight facts from the people, who know what their doing I will curse you. But anyway thanks in advance to the friendly smokers, who are nice enough to deal with us (newbies). I sort of feel bad for pumping everybody for information but I sort of need it.

 

1) depends on the circle i guess, but never hog the stuff

2) thats somethin to work out with your friends, i mean my friends and i usally share pretty well as long as we arn't all out. i guess dont just take other people's stuff with out givin back a little

3)depends, maybe a bowl. you cant OD on it, but sometimes people dont feel much thier first time so i wouldn't blow a whole lot.

 

yeah dont hog the stuff, dont drop it,if some one packs or rolls it they light it,pretty much what i do is if you have weed you smoke out your firend then next time you firend smokes you out,also smoek untill you run out or just dont want to smoke anymore

 

Don't disrespect anyone in the circle. Make sure to NEVER let anyone get skipped in the rotation unless they specifically state that they do not wish to smoke anymore. As deadonceagain said, whoever packes the bowl or rolls the blunt or joint lights it, and whoever paid for the sack is second in rotation unless they are the one that rolled it or packed it. People often reserve their spot in the rotation. Me and my friends reserve ratation position by saying second and third and fourth and so on. Other than that, PUFF PUFF PASS!

 

some people like to throw some cash for smoking them out, i dont care one way or the other cuz i dont like getting high alone. its real all personal preference but for your first time i wouldnt buy more then a gram.

me and my buddies always pay eachother for the weed or get together and put money together and call a dealer. we usually use my pipe and i always pack so i guess thats the reason that i always go first (either that or i just assert myself so and its now routine). never skip someone unless they want u to, and dont over hit...sounds strange but i've become the cop in our group for double hitters. damn you stealers of bud.

 

Smoking with Style: Joint Rolling and Etiquette

1) The key thing is not not hog the shit (no more then about 2 hits)... and secondly, dont drop whatever the smoking utility is.. (ex: Joint, bowl, bong [which means dont spill the bong water], or etc)

2) Depends on who your dealing with... usually, throw down a bowl if the other guy does... or some money... but this isnt a very stinjy thing to nitpick at... stoners like to help other people get high too =) common courtesy

3) Ok, dont listen to those people that say "oh, you dont get high the first time"... it totally vary's for each person... so for the first time Id say smoke with a friend, just one bowl... and you might feel some, none, or alot... if you feel you need to go a little more... then go for it... its not unpredictable or dangerous getting very high...

3)the third is a lil more serious I guess ...but only the choose your first time right part...getting high is all good and stuff but if you are going to do something illegal then choose good crime partners

One comment on the money issue. I have found it best to do all transactions (especialy with friends) on a cash for grass basis. No fronting, no credit, no "I'll get it to you tomarrow." Stuff happens (both innocent and dishonest).

 

I agree with MikeE. If you are actually buying some bud from a buddy pay him up front. If you are just getting smoked out there is no need for money to be involved, unless you are smoking with some kind of ass.

Don't drop the bud. Don't give someone an ash hit. After awhile check to the bowl to see if it's still going, if not say so. There is nothing worse than taking some nasty ass ashy hit because the guy before you didn't bother to let it be known.

Don't rush people with their hits. If they want to chill for a couple seconds before/after taking their hit, let them be. The only thing worse than a pot hog is a pot Nazi. Don't slobber on the pipe/joint. If it's a bong/bubbler make SURE to clear it. If you can't take it in one hit blow the smoke out before passing it. Stale smoke is fucking nasty.

Don't overdo it. Don't try to impress anyone, only take what you can. It's a real buzkill when someone starts hacking up a lung and throws up on the carpet

If you don't get high your first time don't bitcha bout it. At the same time, if you do get high don't start babbling on "oh man I'm so high" It's very irritating.

Thank whoever smoked you out, if you have been munching clean up any mess (oh there will be a mess your first time) On the same subject don't eat all their damn food, it's quite a rude thing to do.

Be nice, return the favor. Smoke them out with your next bag.

As far as how much to smoke, there is no definite answer. The quality of the weed, how well you are inhaling, there are many factors. Take a few hits, hold them it and release, and wait a few minutes. If you don't feel anything take a few more hits. To be honest you shouldn't have any problem getting "too high" unless you have some previous commitments and have to act sober. Just relax and chill out, that's the whole idea

get with someone who knows what theyre doing your first time, hopefully a close friend. Around here its a tradition that the newb gets smoked up and doesnt pay anything his first day. They will teach you how to do everything though.

 

The rules in our circles are simple. Pass to the left, no white lighters, no hogs/nazis. The only thing more annoying than someone taking more than the usual puff puff pass is some one rushing you to smoke. And for the paying people for weed, my personal philosophy is mi ganja su ganja.

2. How the money thing works between friend

In my hometown my friends and I never really cared about the money. If you've got weed and you want to smoke it, go ahead, and if they want some, whatever. No keeping score or anything since it all comes around anyways.

However, now I've moved away to univeristy and I've got two new main pot smoking friends. one of which shares the same values of sharing, while the other one who's from the city doesn't. He keeps score as to how much one person burns another when it has to do with him. Sometimes he asks for 5$ or some nug to throw down if you want in on teh session. Throwing down nug usually isn't a problem unless I don't have any, and he gets all whiney when I don't throw down anything at all. I missed the old days when it didn't matter.

I call it friendship points. When one person burns another, or does a favour, they've used up friendhsip points. There is no set date to repay the person, and it doesn't matter how. it's the trust factor that the person will somehow and someday repay you.
