hey everyone... it's been a while (again), hope you all are well.

I've just had my lovely friend Carey here from Alaska and I've been taking her all around the highlands and islands and cities and things for a week or so.

I've seen so many beautiful places and things that I can't believe I've never noticed before so, have any of you got favourite beautiful/peaceful/generally great spots in Scotland?

    if so, where?

    blessed be

    Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides

Amazing place, + so much history there. There must be around 30 ancient sites like stone cirlces and such like...

i admit, i was trying to show off 'real glasgow' and 'real scotland' to Carey though... makes for a waay better time and much better stories

    blessed be

my prents took us to scotland every year since i was 5 for hoildays. we would always rent a house in the highlands for 2weeks. there are so many places in scotalnd that i've been yet i dont even know the name. i'll see where i can remember the names of,
torbermory- spent many hoildays here, especially cus my dads a malt lover & we've visited every distillery in scotland!
spent many holidays in dufftown, beautiful place, again thats cus my dad goes on the distillery tours.
i've also been to oban, lockaline, fort william, fort augusta, perth, applecross, ullapool to name a few.
gairloch- my most favourite place in scotland. we went there nearly every year untill the house we rented got sold.

the last place we went was isle of mull, we went there at christmas, it was beautiful. i've been to isle if skye, when the ferrys were still running, we have pictures of the skye bridge being built over about 3 years i think, we came across a huge waterfall there (cant remeber the name, not been to skye for about 10 years), & everytime we've been to skye we have visited the waterfall. we would all climb up to the top & cross it, its absolutley magical, will defonatlay be taking my children to scotland for hoildays.

Hey Torz if you've been to Ullapool and Applecross then you have waltzed straight past my front door. It's on the only road you can take to both of those places. It's in the most beautiful area in the world a little place called Tore. But hey next time I'll wave to you at the roundabout!!! lol
