Can anybody actually physically feel when they are alseep.....like when youre in fire and you actually feel like your skin is being burned...or when someone is cutting you, and it hurts a lot....or when for some reason your back starts bending backwards...and you start shiverring.... Also, sometimes when I want to run, I cant, and when I want to scream I cant make any sound come out of my mouth.....like I'm mute.....
I guess i dont remember feeling anything... but i dont know if its just cause i havent paid attention. i'll try to take notice of that when i wake up tommorrow. about not being able to do things.. i thnk thats pretty common. like ive had dreams where i was too weak to lift things i shouldve been able to. and ive had dreams of driving where my brakes wouldnt work.
I've dreamt that my hand was consumed in flames and I stared at it for the longest time because it didn't hurt at all. I have felt pain in dreams but usually only when I'm in pain in reality. There are those rare times though- once I dreamed I was shot and it hurt, alot, so much that I woke up and could still feel the pain, only it was on the opposite side of my body. I've often felt paralyzed in dreams- can't scream, can't run, can't move. Those are freaky scary dreams. *hugs*
Btw- I've heard that when you dream of being powerless/paralyzed/mute it has to do with not being able to change something in real life.
I got hit on the head with a bat in a dream, it really hurt, I could hear the sound of the bat when it hit my head too. I woke up right after that and kind of had a buzz from it. I've been stabbed and had heart attacks in my dreams too and the same thing happens when I wake up, but when I'm still dreaming it hurts like hell.
i've felt good sensations in dreams and probably pain, or i could potentially. i definitely know that unable to move or speak feeling. i have dreams of being attacked and raped and know there are people nearby but i open my mouth to scream for help and nothing comes out, or its really quiet. usually when this happens i am talking in my sleep in real life. one time i dreamt i was talking to my mom on the phone, i was in danger so i picked up a payphone and called her but i couldn't talk and she kept saying "hello, is anyone there?" and was about to hang up and i couldnt say anything. talking about this is really hard, i've had some horribly realistic and scary dreams. the day after i had that calling my mom dream, my stepsister told me i was talking in my sleep saying mommmy, mom, help me, help me, mommy...stuff like that. you exert so much force to talk in your dream that it carries over into the waking world
once i felt high in my dream after i had a bit of a joint or something...not even sure what the hell it was...but it sure was pretty afterwards
