travelling songs

    wicked good forum idea, is it new?

    i love travelling somgs, especially old time ones.. some of my faves are steel rails, blueskies and teardrops, freight train blues and so on.. know any other good ones along those lines??

    I'm sure they're all good, but I'd recommend "Steel Rails Hummin'." I have that one. Actually anything that has Bill Morris singing is good. I've got some other stuff by him, and he is just an excellent singer of the old-time folk ballads.

    i love songs about travel, escape, and getting out of town kinda songs.....just makes me transport in time and space.....
