get her to talk about what she likes, her feelings. say something like, "hey, what sports do you play? do you like sport X? Why?" just like a convseration with a guy only more about opinions on things, what shes doing this weekend ; not politics, war though. just be interesting and crack a joke every now and then because girls love funny guys.

dont talk about yourself except for what she asks you though. like if she asks you "what sports do you like?" just say tennis, or whatever. dont trail off into a 5 min lecture about yourself. girls like mysterious guys. also, talking lots about yourself makes you seem insecure since you're trying to get her approval. make it seem like shes trying to get yours.

as a wise player once said:

"The more she talks about herself, the more she thinks she knows about you." =)

I think you are making up way too many excuses to not talk to her. If you really want to talk to her, just do it. Forget that it might be awkward, just do it. Just say hi and be yourself. You never know, she may be in the exactly same boat as you and is just waiting for you to come up and say hello. You will never get anywhere sitting around, making up excuses to not attempt to start a conversation. And if you do have a mutual friend, maybe you could suggest to that friend that you guys get together with some other friends and invite her and go bowling or something, where you would have the perfect opportunity to start a conversation. Basically, my point is, stop making excuses, get out there, and do something about it. Nothing will ever happen if you don't make some attempt to make it happen. The next time you see her, say hi, ask her how she is. Spilling your guts out about how you think she's beautiful may be coming on too strongly, but if you show that you've noticed her, then she will notice you. It may be awkward, but welcome to the world of being a teenager. Get used to it, you have many years of awkwardness to follow. Just bite the bullet and say hello. I know it's going to be hard (I went through plenty of the same situations throughout high school), but you can do it. You have the desire, so now all you have to do is find the strength to talk to her. Best of luck!

that acticle is a bunch of bullshit. it tells you how to act...instead of being yourself. the key to "getting" women ..boys.. is to stop being scared of them as if they are aliens or some weird shit. I mean its one thing to be somewhat nervous your first time approaching someone you find attractive (i guess), but its another to sit in your room all day looking up "rules" on the internet for dating. Man up, talk to the one that gives you butterflies, whoever it be
