You are a monster to make this poll. This is nearly an impossible choice to me. Both bands had so much quality. The only difference to me is, the Beatles had almost no weak moments, while Pink Floyd had its weak moments and albums. I love both kinds of music (although both styles are radically different), but my vote goes to the Beatles here.

    the beatles, and i'll tell ya why;
pink floyd made a good start with barrett and all,
then barrett went a away, and the only thing these guys made good songs about, was syd. it seriously is pathetic.
and the whole thing about roger taking 60% of all the money the floyd ever made
all that stuff made me kinda sick.
    so i vote the beatles!

I for one think that Waters taking over the band was a good thing, seeing how their best stuff didn't come after "Piper at the Gates of Dawn"... I could be wrong though.

Still, whatever Barett or Waters wrote can't mesure up to Lennon/McCartney.

Pink Floyd, with out a doubt.
And you would'nt call Sgt. Pepper a low point?
Give me an example of a low point with the Floyd.....

Pink Floyd soared progressively in the 1970's.

Sgt. Pepper is the pinnacle of music IMO... A low point of the Floyd would be The Final Cut or A Momentary Lapse of Reason for instance, and I also thought most of The Wall was a little too pretentious.

The Floyd remains one of my favourite bands though, with "Piper", "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Wish you were here".

I respect your oppinion, but I personaly think Sgt. Pepper was the worst the beatles ever did.

And the Final Cut is just all the songs that the Floyd did'nt put on the Wall, and is really just a Roger Waters solo album.
A Momentary Lapse of Reason is really a Dave Gilmore solo record.

I think Sgt. Peppar's was a great album that influenced the art rock of the 70's.

Pink Floyd did a good album for the 90's with "The Division Bell".

I agree, and the Division Bell is one of the most over looked records ever, I don't think the Floyd get enough respect for it, most people that call themselves Floyd fans have never even heard of it.

sgt peppers is overrated. I wouldnt really consider it a low point though...... the low point with the beatles?? I would say the early albums....... like with the beatles and please please me... low point with the floyd?? fuck.... momentary lapse, I guess? but thats just one album...

I cant compare the two, its impossible....... for me, anyways.
