Nothing ever dies-it just changes form into something else...But yes we will all change form. It must be the best rush though.... that's why it's saved for last! LOL Peace!
I hate the subject of death. While it may be an inevitable fact of existance, I avoid pondering what it really means. I've always been fearful of death, that, and coupled with a near-death experience after giving birth to my twins two years ago, the subject leaves me, well, uneasy.
Our body doesn't die; it returns to the earth. Our thoughts don't die; they pass on to all with whom we communicate . Our personhood doesn't die; it is passed on through the genetic tree to reemerge again and again (a reality commonly understood as reincarnation). Our actions don't die, their consequences ripple through eternity. What dies is our current identity, our mental self-description, the tiny imp that tells us we are nothing more than one person living one life in one body, trapped between birth and death. The only thing that dies is the Ego.
why are you guys making these assumptions? "we change form", "the ego dies", "the consciousness doesn't die"....... the truth is, no one knows what happens after death. and that's all.
