I am so excited. I ordered some 16g jewelry online and when it gets here I am going to start stretching my lobes. I plan on doing one stretch every other month, just to make sure it has plenty of time to heal. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but I knew the time had to be right or I would regret it. I am doing it as a outward manifestation of the freedom I have in my mind now. How long I have waited! I prayed and prayed, and I finally have a relationship with God. So good to see one doing this with such reason. Often times i get frustrated with people who have jumped on a trend, that they will regret oneday. I also admire your dedication, the discipline of doing it every other month. When i started stretching, i went from 16 to 10 within a week, and started adding more jewelry to the hole, making it bigger. i had to do one ear at a time, until i got them bigger, so that took some discipline on my part too. When you get down to a two I believe, you can stop buying plugs, and just get a black bic pen. The small end makes a two i think, the main part makes a 0, or close, if i remember correctly. And a sharpie cap is a 00 or close. Jumbo sharpies are a half inch i believe and Vicks inhaeler bottles are 5/8. I didnt buy anything (cept a 10 gauge taper) until i was half inch, and only then so i would have nice silver plugs for my dad wedding. I made some nice half inches out of deer antler i wore for almost a year. Now I wear 5/8 plugs, and some nice black talons. So get some pens and x-acto blades, and make em. Good luck, and light on the path of your new journey. PS, never ever use organic to stretch with, they will grow to your ear.
