well, I listen to alternative radio, and its a fact, jack. Im sorry, if you have to change your lyrics so you can get a wider fanbase (ie teenage girls), then you are indeed selling out.
undeniably... and as a whole, the album has its bright spots, but they have gone steadily downhill since '96... what does it matter though? selling-out is the amerikan way
TV Sucks. The Radio Sucks too, but not quite as much. A big percentage of that sucking comes from the FCC, the rest is from corperate takeovers.
Agreed. I expect this kind of shit from Weezer, now. They're pathetic. They haven't done anything good since Pinkerton, and even that album lacked a little. Weezer bloooowwwss...
yeah, same here. i have always been a huge fan of oasis. i never thought they would sell out and im glad they proved everyone wrong same here. aint heard it. dont want to.
I still like them... they pull this stuff, for whatever reasons, then everyone complains how they sell out and how all their new fans are just teenyboppers... And then bam, suddenly Weezer is not trendy anymore... It's a cycle... But the band has not addressed changing the lyrics yet.. I imagine is must be a Geffen Records MTV thing. Oh well I don't care, I don't watch MTV or VH1 or listen to the radio
i used to love weezer, but i didnt even bother buying this new cd. "we are all on drugs" is the only song i could stand (i actaully kind of like it) and they had to go change the lyrics...sell outs.
