i'm a jamband fan by nature and know next to nothing about emo/indie music... but the band bright eyes are fast becoming one of my all-time favorites. the lyrics are amazing... does anyone else agree? peace, doug ps- my niece who is younger and cooler says that bright eyes suck.
funny someone posted this...latley I have been hearing about Bright Eyes EVERYHWERE I was thinking of just going out and buying a CD of theirs..........what's the best one to get?
yeah they're a good band, excellent when i saw them shepards bush empire bout a month ago...shame about the crowd, kinda ruined the night...:$ a'hem moving back to where i was heading...er album wise try 'fevers and mirrors' or 'the story is in the soil keep your ear to the ground' yep...xx
i'd buy... 'the story is in the soil keep your ear to the ground' if you like that then buy... 'fevers and mirrors' listen to the cd a few times before judging it... it just keeps getting better with repeated listenings.
letting off happiness is good too. i like them. sometimes i dont though, i gotta be in the mood, but theyre pretty good. conor oberst is a good lyricist... and singer kinda...
Yeah yeah yeah I <3 Bright eyes! Conor oberst is a fantastic musician-singer-songwriter... and hes so fucking hot. I have most his work i like "there is no beginning to the story" but all of his work is good.. if you like bright eyes check out the band he was in when he was younger called "Commander Venus" and also check out the new band he started called Desaprecidos (more political stuff) I also love conor because hes not afraid to take a stand for his beliefs... and tell the crowd how shitty he thinks the us government is
I love Bright Eyes.. I can't remember how I started to listen to them.. but they are great, each song has great lyrics, you really get wrapped on it. I was hooked on "I want a lover I don't have to love" for a long time.. now I got off my adiction, I´ll just listen to it, this time
i'm not sure what kind of music you'd call it. i hear the following influences... bob dylan (lyrics) violent femmes (vocals) musically i hear some folk, punk, alt.country and rock. it's hard to describe. it's just good.
saw Bright Eyes at Glastonbury and he was fantastic. Such a good show his touring band has the Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist in it at the moment and its a really great show was probably one of my glasters highlights.
Bright Eyes are so amazing I love them. I love Bowl of Oranges. I think that if you were to get an album it should be Lifted: the story is in the soil. Fevers and Mirrors is really good too. (my boy and I have a conor shrine in our bedroom) I guess we're kind of obsessed.
