I bought myself a cheap car, fixed a few things that were wrong with it. Yesterday I got the plates and made it all legal. Today, I was driving it for my first time and the stupid thing broke down on me. This is supposed to be my family car. Damn it. I have to wait for some one to come tow me home so that I can try to fix it. I hate cars, but there aren't any places to work close to home. I really need a horse or something. That's what I want. I would love to live somewhere where I can ride a horse into town to get my supplies and do the things I need to do. maybe I could live some place where I could just take my canoe into town.

    Jezzz that sucks!
Had a 1989 Lincoln I ended up restoring cause I could not get a new car. Spent so much $$ fixing it and then it would break down again. It was like being in a real bad relationship. Then 4 years ago I had them to tow it away and gave up owning a car. Here it's kool everything is walkable and we bought these great bikes.
But having a small baby and your work know u gotta have a good ride.
Boy aren't you having a Banner Fall.

I don't think being Amish would work for me, they would probably crucify me or something. It does suck that my car broke down, and I have no clue what is wrong with it. My fall isn't really going to great, yet. It will all get better. I feel that there is definite happiness just around the corner. I have been through plenty of shit in my life, and I always land on my feet. Just gotta keep my chin up.:) . Besides, I know it always gets worse before it gets better. Shit like this really makes me hold on to that appreciation for the simple thing in life. I always get more entertainment out of the free stuff anyway. Nature, ect....

ah so i will finish what i started the other mornin in another thread hl... ( i had to go play in babble-on:() everything happens for a reason,,, those of which we may not get the meaning or reasons for it happenin for a good long while,,, so while having our heads on our shoulders in a decent sort of fashion we have to figger out how to balance the two things that we nedd/ want / strive for etc all the while workin towards our own set goals we have for ourselves,,, no matter how simple they may seem or how difficult.. Maybe yer hunker car kicked it cuz the bloody thing is gonna blow upor something fukked up,,,, maybe this is just all pushing you more into what you truly want for self and family etc.... its all good n like yaq mentioned ya just keep yer chin up and even from the crap ass shit take something good from it,,, it is truly there even though we may not think there can be anything good from it...

dunno where yer livin now but maybe tis just a bit too main stream for ya,,, when i came south many years ago as a kid i knew that s outh n mtns n shit was where i had to be eventually,,,, its just truly a different sorta world down here n when yer able to do more or less what ya wish and not be looked at strangely for it and look the way ya chose tis a good thing,,, dont rush the school thing or anything,,,, n keep yer mind where you like it to be,,, edlore things n places ya normally wouldnt for the kind of lifestyle you wish to live,,,, iffin ya need some sites n resources that i looked at a while back i can come up with several for ya .. would make all your hours on the net a bitmore productive and a learnin expereince i can assure ya:)

We have narrowed the problems down to either fucked up injectors or a bad computer. The engine won't run right now because it is flooding itself out. Hopefully we will get it fixed today.

it's a $25 do it yourself repair from the local junkyard. I only paid $350 for the car. I was going to use the money to fix my truck, but I wouldn't have been able to afford gas for the thing to go anywhere.:)

We got the car started then started tracing a weird noise. We took the tire off to inspect the bottom of the car and discovered that we could take 1/2 the bottom part of the engine apart without the use of wrenches. I bought this from a mechanic? What the hell. Looks like I discovered the problem though, I should have it going tomorrow

Got the car running, we have a junkyard in town where you go to the car and pull your own parts.:& . Not your PARTS, but your parts. Got everything fairly cheap, Distributor, computer, fuel injection relay switch, and a harmonic balancer for about $50. Did a lot of haggling, but it worked. The car is running good, it's as powerful as a 4 banger should be, has good response. Did the timing, changed a few parts, and tightened a bunch of bolts. It sure is nice having good connections.
